Chapter 122 Trials of Transcendence Part 1

[: Daniel POV :]

[: Your time is up, and you will be sent to the Colosseum :]

With the final seconds ticking away, I felt a surge of anticipation.

My surroundings shifted, and I was abruptly transported to the heart of the monumental Colosseum.

As I looked around, I found myself standing in the midst of an expansive, empty field.

The grand stage was set, and the time had come to confront the enigmatic Transcendent Beings that lay in wait.

[: The First Challenger has arrived :]

In an electrifying burst of energy, a presence began to manifest before me.

It was as though the very fabric of reality was weaving this being into existence.

A luminous, humanoid figure materialized, its form towering over me, easily five times my size.

Adorned in resplendent white-gold armour that gleamed with divine radiance, it resembled nothing less than a celestial warrior, a guardian of the heavens.

In the grip of its colossal hand, the Transcendent Being wielded a magnificent longsword, a weapon that appeared to be a fusion of artistry and might.

Yet, when I gazed into the narrow slits of its helmet, I was met with eyes that held no warmth, no hint of life.

It was as though, it was a puppet masterfully animated by an otherworldly force.

But what truly left me in awe was the tremendous aura that emanated from this being, an energy that seemed to vibrate with cosmic power.

The battle for transcendence was about to begin, and I was ready to face it head-on, with courage and unwavering resolve.

[: Your fight will begin now :]

As if to declare the commencement of our battle, the Transcendent Being hoisted its majestic sword aloft, directing it menacingly toward me.

It was a brazen, taunting gesture that sent a clear message of challenge.

Then, in the blink of an eye, the being vanished from my sight.

Where did he go?

I frantically tried to sense its presence, but it felt like it had vanished into thin air.

And I couldn't pinpoint its location using my skills and instincts.

Is he behind me?

For an instant, I considered the possibility of it being behind me.

And in that very millisecond, I felt its presence and reacted swiftly.

I raised my scythe just in time to parry its attack, the resounding clash of our weapons filling the air with tension.

*Cling*

Undeterred, I slid my scythe along the length of its sword and executed a fluid rotation of my body, aiming the scythe's tip directly at its head.

But the Transcendent Being was swift and skilful, effortlessly blocking my attack.

It became clear to me at that moment that this battle would be anything but easy.

Our clash continued with a relentless intensity that left no room for hesitation.

With each exchange of blows, our movements became a symphony of destruction, a breathtaking display of combat prowess.

I launched a furious assault, my scythe cutting through the air in swift, precise arcs.

The Transcendent Being responded with an agile sidestep, narrowly evading the deadly blade.

It retaliated with a sweeping strike, its sword tracing a gleaming arc that threatened to cleave me in two.

I leapt backwards, narrowly avoiding the attack, the force of the blow creating a shockwave that sent debris flying.

The Transcendent Being pressed its advantage, closing the distance between us with blinding speed.

I deftly parried a series of lightning-fast strikes, the clash of metal against metal ringing out like a battle hymn.

With a graceful spin, I swung my scythe in a wide arc, aiming to catch my opponent off guard.

But the Transcendent Being anticipated my move and expertly blocked the attack, its armour emitting a radiant glow as it absorbed the impact.

We continued to exchange blows, each movement a calculated gambit.

The Transcendent Being unleashed a flurry of strikes, its sword a blur of motion.

I responded with a rapid series of parries and counters, my scythe a whirling storm of death.

Our weapons clashed with a force that sent shockwaves rippling through the arena, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle that left the audience breathless if there were any.

As the battle raged on, I tapped into the essence of light, infusing my body with its incredible speed.

In an instant, I moved at the velocity of light itself, a blur of motion that defied mortal comprehension.

Even with my monstrous stats and newfound swiftness, the Transcendent Being managed to keep pace.

But it wasn't surprising at all.

*Boom*

The clash of our blows was relentless, a barrage of strikes that seemed to blur into one continuous assault.

It was a battle of equals, a contest of sheer power and skill.

If there were a spectator fortunate enough to witness this spectacle, all they would see were the shockwaves of our blows.

I couldn't help but acknowledge that the Transcendent Being had yet to unleash its full power, just as I had kept my own strength in reserve.

Just as I prepared to deliver another powerful blow, the Transcendent Being swung its sword with breathtaking speed, unleashing a wave of sword aura that streaked toward me with an unfathomable velocity.

It was so swift that I couldn't react in time to evade it.

*Boom*

The impact was catastrophic, and a notification flashed before me, declaring a staggering loss of 10,000,000 Million hit points.

It was an amount that would have left most players in utter despair, but not me.

With my colossal health pool of 3.2 Trillion hit points, that 10 million was a mere fraction, a negligible dent in my formidable vitality.

In a matter of moments, I had already regenerated the lost hit points.

However, I couldn't deny the incredible damage inflicted by the Transcendent Being's attack.

Despite my immunity to physical and magical damage through certain skills, the sheer force of this strike was overwhelming.

The reason behind this is that there's a restriction placed on skills such as immunity against physical damage, and the restriction is how it would only be applied towards existence underneath Transcendence.

This is one of the reasons why I still can't hope to protect the future.

All of those 'Beings' are just so...monstrous.

*Swoosh*

Perhaps I had been so absorbed in the exchange that I failed to notice the dozens of massive sword auras hurtling toward me from all directions.

Each of these ethereal blades was of considerable size and posed a grave threat.

But I was not one to back down.

With a swift and determined motion, I channelled my mana into the scythe, infusing it with the powers of Absolute Zero, Jahanm, Ethereal Flames, Element of Lightning, and Light.

The result was a dazzling display of elemental might as I unleashed dozens of my own auras in response to the incoming attack.

*Boom*

The battlefield erupted into a breathtaking spectacle as the opposing forces clashed, a cacophony of power and fury.

It was a mesmerizing sight, akin to witnessing miniature nuclear explosions cancelling each other out.

But amid this dazzling display, I could not afford to lose focus.

One massive sword aura, a hundred times larger than the rest, loomed before me, a relentless force that left me with no means of escape.

It seemed the Transcendent Being was intent on ending our confrontation with this colossal strike.

There was no retreat now, no room for hesitation.

I drew upon every ounce of power and skill within me, a culmination of my training and experience.

With unwavering resolve, I channelled the elemental forces of Lightning, Light, Jahanam, Absolute Zero, and Superior Ethereal Flames, harnessing their raw energy.

As I gathered the elements, a brilliant display of colours unfolded before me.

It began with a serene blue, followed by a blinding radiance that threatened to engulf everything in its path.

The black flames of Jahanam joined the ethereal flames, and the essence of ice merged seamlessly.

It was a mesmerizing fusion of elements, all converging into the blade of my scythe.

But I didn't stop there.

I applied Rust Corruption, an insidious force that eroded the very essence of my opponent's attack, weakening it further.

Vibration, too, came into play, intensifying the energy and resonating with the destructive force I was about to unleash.

With a mighty roar, I released the pent-up energy, and a tidal wave of unimaginable power surged forth.

It hurtled toward the colossal sword aura with a ferocity that was beyond comprehension.

The collision of these titanic forces was a blinding spectacle, a radiant explosion of light that threatened to sear our very retinas, and a deafening roar that reverberated in our ears, threatening to shatter eardrums.

As the blinding light subsided, I seized the opportunity without a moment's hesitation.

With a burst of speed, I reappeared behind the Transcendent Being, my scythe poised for a devastating strike.

With all the force I could muster, I unleashed a series of vicious hacks that cleaved through its luminous form.

The onslaught was overwhelming, and the Transcendent Being's body disintegrated into radiant particles of light, dissolving into the ether.

The battle had been won, and victory was mine.

[: Congratulations, you have won against a Transcendent Being, do you wish to continue? :]

Without the slightest hint of hesitation, I replied with a resounding "Yes."

I was ready and eager to face the next challenge that awaited me in the Colosseum of Transcendence.

[: Congratulations, you have won against the 2nd stage, do you wish to continue? :]

[: Congratulations, you have won against the 3rd stage, do you wish to continue? :]

[: Congratulations, you have won against the 4th stage, do you wish to continue? :]

The notifications echoed through the Colosseum of Transcendence, each one a successful victory.

The battles had been nothing short of epic, each stage presenting a unique and formidable challenge that had tested my abilities to their limits.

In the second stage, I confronted a Transcendent Being with mage-like powers, a formidable foe in its own right.

However, its vulnerability lay in close combat, where its speed and defence faltered.

With lightning-fast strikes and precision, I exploited this weakness, swiftly overpowering the adversary.

The third stage introduced a different kind of challenge—a Transcendent Being known for its raw, brute force.

Each of its thunderous punches sent shockwaves through the arena, depleting a staggering 50 million of my hit points with every impact.

Half of my health vanished in mere moments, but I refused to yield.

Instead, I unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, catching the formidable foe off guard.

The victory was hard-won, but even then, I was still the victor.

The fourth stage ushered in a colossal tank-like Transcendent Being, seemingly impervious to my assaults.

My strikes, though powerful, seemed to have no effect, and the battle became a test of endurance.

Yet, I pressed on, relentlessly spamming my skills, wearing down the adversary's defences until, at last, it succumbed to my relentless assault.

It was a gruelling battle that consumed a significant amount of time but ultimately ended in triumph.

[: You have entered the 5th Stage and you will be fighting against a Transcendence Being :]

The announcement reverberated through the Colosseum of Transcendence, marking the beginning of the fifth stage—a realm of challenge and uncertainty like no other.

As I gazed upon the Transcendent Being before me, encased in resplendent golden crimson armour and bearing majestic red-gold wings, I felt a rush of anticipation.

This was a threshold that had intimidated countless others, and now, it was my turn to face its impenetrable trials.
