I guess my anger got the best of me because I went overboard with that hit. To put more power into it, I made a plate of void essence to give my feet a base to produce even more power to push my fist.
The effect was... strong. As if a bomb exploded, rising a cloud of dust, erupted from the ground, accompanied by a loud noise. The ground shook slightly, making a few lose their footing. I noticed that when I emerged from the dust, holding a crystal in my hand, because a couple of hunters were on the ground, picking themselves up.
I threw the gemstone to John, who caught it at the last moment.
- Let's go hunt some bears - I said, glaring at him.
I guess my eyes were enough for him to know he was in trouble since his face suddenly became quite pale. It was just a brief moment because I didn't want Tihana to notice, so I quite quickly looked away, then gestured to the people together, so we could move to the next place.
I bet they noticed I was slightly pissed, as we walked through the woods because any bear that tried to attack me got blasted in the head. Others also contributed a bit to hunting this time, since they caught a breather in the lizardfolk village.
With me being the spearhead of the expedition, we cut through the ranks of furious animals with ease, eventually reaching the boss room. When I approached the door, I could hear the hushed voices behind me of people discussing what they might see on the other side.
I pushed the door, revealing to them a giant, oval space, quite bright because of white light coming from the ceiling, very high up. In the middle was a simple throne, made out of stone, with rather a small, light brown bear sleeping on it.
- It's so cute - Tihana said, and some people even agreed with her.
I rolled my eyes, knowing the real appearance of the creature. To make them witness it too, I stepped into the room.
The animal woke up, cutely wiping his face with a paw before getting up, just to jump down. A few 'aaawww' reached my ears, triggering them even more. I couldn't wait for them to change their minds about the bear.
When the bones began to crack, and pop out of the sockets, as the animal bulked up, growing and growing in volume, all the irritating noises made by the hunters behind me were cut short. I even glanced behind and saw a few jaws being dropped, as they observed the form of the beast getting darker, when it grew in size, eventually stretching out to its full monstrous size. To become this five meters tall, humanoid-looking cluster of muscle with a bear head.
- Awww it's so cute - I mocked them, which ended me a furious glare from Tihana.
Then I rolled my eyes, perfectly imitating what she always was doing.
