Will just exploded with laughter. It took me by surprise, so I took a step back, while just watching.
- Please! I beg you, save me! - said one of the crime lords surrounded by my shadows.
This begging was clearly directed towards my friend because all of them already knew that I had no mercy for people of their sort.
- You didn't kill them! - Will yelled. - That's so damn good...
- No. It means I have to kill them now - I disagreed.
- No! Fuck, no! - he protested.
The begging continued, but we both ignored the criminals, which made them eventually give up.
- We can give them to the American authorities. They happily accept them - Will pointed out.
- What? Are you serious? - I asked, very damn surprised. - What if they escape, or use their reach to send some people after Joseph's or my family?
With premeditation, I used mister Wu first in my sentence, because he wouldn't really be able to protect those dear to him. If people like that existed, which I wasn't sure off because of how cold his relationship with John seemed to be.
- Trust me, they will be put in the deepest possible hole. With all the fuss the American government has made, they don't really want to piss me off, because Arc is too important for them, and I can cut them off from the crystals and from the device - my friend pointed out.
- Yes, please. Just give us to the police - said another one of the guys.
- Shut up - I growled at him, which worked damn well.
I needed a moment to digest Will's words. I made a mess by allowing myself to just go nuts on a killing spree, and I didn't want to have a villain arc in my life story. There was also Celestine, who seemed to be drifting away from me because of my actions.
The bigger question, though, was, if I had a way to make sure those guys would never, ever, go against me or those important to me, and I found out, that indeed there was such an option. The 'Mind seed'. The skill I possessed but never used. The time to change it has come.
- Ok... You are right. We should give them to the FBI or whatever those guys are called those days. Still, I'm taking my own precaution - as I said those words, I glanced briefly at every person I was holding captive in Loistavadvaar to plant the seed in their minds.
It was surprisingly easy.
"Now I'm in your heads, so don't you fucking dare even think of revenge. Be happy that you are still alive", I told them with the power of my mind.
It freaked them out completely.
Then, without wasting any more time, I shadow walked us all back to the US, while sending my minions back to The Void.
I wasn't really surprised when I saw a dozen of black cars parked in front of the house, and agents walking around. There was also a silver-haired guy in a suit, who looked important. He didn't waste any time, just headed straight to us as we appeared. The agents hesitates for a moment, and clearly needed to communicate among themselves, but after a while, they surrounded us too.
- My name is Anthony Goldbloom - the gentleman introduced himself. - I'm the minister of foreign affairs of the United States of America.
- We had the pleasure to meet each other - Will pointed out, stepping to the front. - I came because I heard about the situation. My friend here is going to hand over the criminals he captured during his raid yesterday.
They both were looking at one another with intent, and I noticed that there was like this silent communication between them. Despite just a few words being exchanged, I felt like they were communicating so much more.
- Some of them, as far as I know, are wanted on US soil. It was a great help, mister Peter, I believe - said the man.
I just nodded.
Then he turned around and headed to talk with a few agents, who already were putting their hands on the criminals, who surrendered with smiles on their faces.
Will turned towards me.
- I will have a lot of work thank's to you - he whispered, not hiding his frustration. - How much should I tell them about you?
I shrugged my shoulders.
- At this point, I don't care. Just make sure they know not to fuck with me - I said.
I didn't waste more time, just went straight back inside the house, to join the rest of the family.
- What is going on there? - Celestine was just behind the door, waiting for me. - I saw cars.
- FBI, CIA, or whatever... I handled them the criminals I've captured - I said the last word louder.
Immediately I noticed the tension leaving her body.
- You didn't kill all of them - left her mouth.
- I killed some. They tried to fight after all, but I left quite a bunch. It's not like this planet won't be a better place without them - I pointed out.
- You should do it properly - she scolded me. - If you can do it properly, you should.
At first, I wanted to argue. Explain to her my way of thinking, but then I realized she already knew. She wasn't really angry, but she knew I can do better, so instead, I slowly nodded.
My reaction made her rush to me, and hug me tightly.
- We should help those poor kids too. They've seen so many horrible things. They have nobody... - she said.
I noticed that she was actually crying, so I hugged her back.
- Don't worry. We will take care of them. They will be safe from now on. I'll pull all the strings I can - I assured.
At the same moment, I noticed Tihana. Her head popped out from behind the corner. She was smiling. I didn't know if it was because of what she saw or because of what she just heard. There was also a chance it was a combination of both.
