They reached Qiao Mei’s place in no time. Su Rui got out of the front passenger seat and looked at the house in front of her in disdain.

Qiao Mei went upstairs and kept rummaging through her things so that she could buy more time for the two men. Su Rui waited impatiently at the main door for Qiao Mei. As she listened in using the listening device, she knew that Qiao Mei was still going through her things. After a very long time, Qiao Mei finally took out a piece of paper. She casually wrote a few words on it and stuffed it into an envelope. Before she did that, she even affixed the stamp of the farm on it.
“Why did you take so long?” Su Rui complained when she saw Ojao Mei.
“There are too many things at home and it’s hard to go through them. I hope I didn’t make you wait too long,” Qiao Mei said.
Su Rui grabbed the envelope. The glue on the envelope looked suspicious to her. She touched the glue out of curiosity and asked, “I hope you’re not trying to bluff me. This is obviously glued together just now.”
“The thing inside is real and it has the stamp of the community center,” Qiao Mei said.
Su Rui felt the envelope to see how thick it was and smiled disdainfully. The envelopes used in Country M were relatively flimsy. So long as one held it against the light or the sun, the contents would be exposed. She held up the envelope and looked at it against the sun. There was indeed a stamp and some words on it, and she could vaguely make out Fang Chen’s name.
She handed Qiao Mei a check of 100,000 dollars that Xia Zhe had previously given her and said, “This is the money for you. I’ll send you another 100,000 dollars after I get married.”
Qiao Mei took the check but did not say anything. Luo Yu and Luo Hui ran out from both sides and Su Rui immediately realized that there was something wrong.
