Chapter 30: Agreeing Easily

"You are…"

"You forgot?" The man grinned. "I saw you fighting that b*tch from the union yesterday."

Su Hanyan recalled that he was one of those people who had cheered and whistled then.

This person even asked for her name and found it out within a day.

"You're so uncivilized." She snorted at his vulgar terms. "Why did you call me?"

"There's something I wanna talk to you about." He grinned.

"Talk about what?"

"Studying."

She was shocked. "You and I… are gonna talk about studying?"

"That's right!" Seeing her shocked expression, the man could not help but laugh. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Shao Feng; I'm an uncultured worker, but my younger sister is different! She's a high school graduate who's intending to go to college. I heard that English will be tested in next year's exams, so I'm hoping that you can teach her. She's shy, so she came to me."

"How did you find out that I know English?" Su Hanyan was surprised. She had only told Zhu Lin about it. Her roommate had such a loose tongue. In the blink of an eye, she had already spread this matter.

"Hehe!" Shao Feng knew that she had guessed it. "To tell you the truth, my sister, Shao Yu, knows your roommate. She used to visit the union to learn some English from Qiao Shasha, but because of what happened yesterday… that woman refused to teach her."

She burst out laughing. "Isn't that because you jeered at her!"

"I know, right?" He scratched his head in embarrassment. "My sister cried to me for half a night, and I… really had no choice. I happened to meet Zhu Lin and she said that your English is especially good. Can you teach my sister? Rest assured that I will pay you for it. I can't let you teach for free!"

Without any hesitation, she said, "It's no big deal. I don't want money. Since she's my roommate's friend, we can just learn together. It's still studying even if we have an extra person. In fact, the more people around, the better the atmosphere."

"Really!" The man did not expect her to agree so easily. "That's great! How about this: We have rest days tomorrow and the day after. I'll let her go and learn from you."

"I can't tomorrow; I have to go home. The day after is fine," she said.

"Alright. The day after tomorrow it is then!" Shao Feng was overjoyed. He had not expected this lady to be so nice. "Thank you, Su Hanyan!"

"You're being too polite." She waved her hand. "We can't chat anymore. I still have work to do. Just get her to find me."

"Sure, sure."

Su Hanyan wandered around the workshops, looking for information and materials from their publicity staff. After a rough estimation that she had enough for a blackboard report, she returned to her office.

The blackboard report would be released next week, so she was in no hurry. As soon as the bell rang, she packed her things and rushed to the dormitory.

When Zhu Lin saw her back, she hurriedly told her about Shao Feng and his sister. She wanted to seek her opinion and see if she could bring another person.

"That guy already looked for me. It's not a problem. We can still learn even with an extra person. The atmosphere may even be better!"

"Thank you. I was worried that you wouldn't want to."

Su Hanyan chuckled. "Why wouldn't I be willing! Who knows? If this group gets bigger, I may be able to start a review center; when that time comes, I'll start taking payment!"

At her mention of this, a thought suddenly flashed through her mind. That was right. In the early 1980s, the first batch of review centers had suddenly appeared.

What Li Yang's crazy English or New East English… Those review centers slowly turned into schools which earned a lot of money.

Hmm… Perhaps she could consider it. That might be a good way out!
