After the weekend holiday and the intense raids.

Tuesday morning.

I came to the Association during my free period to take care of some reward issues regarding the undiscovered dungeon “Nest Covered by Clouds”, and also for a rank promotion visit I had been planning for the past few days.

“According to your ability score review… you have exceeded the standard ability scores in two of the three main areas – strength and agility. You only need to exceed one to qualify, but Holder Do Jae-hyun has exceeded two.”

A familiar female voice read out the report.

C-grade Holder, Lee Ji-hye.

She was an Association employee who had overseen my promotion exam sometime ago.

Since this rank was higher, she wasn’t personally overseeing my exam, but was summarizing and delivering to me the results that had already been reviewed by other expert staff members.

“The review of your rune utilization and proficiency from before was close to perfect. Appropriate combination of physical and magic runes, and skilled utilization. You’re showing your strengths as a multi-holder, while not losing the basics of being a Holder.”

I kept hearing favorable feedback.

Although I had a rough idea, hearing the actual results made me feel elated.

“So…”

As my words trailed off in question, Lee Ji-hye broadly smiled and nodded her head.

“Yes, congratulations. Starting today, Holder Do Jae-hyun, you have been promoted to a B-grade Holder officially recognized by the Association. You have satisfied all the requirements – ability score evaluation, rune utilization and proficiency exam, standard Holder achievements review…”

B-grade Holder.

When I first entered the Academy, it sounded like something from a faraway land.

It was the pinnacle rank of geniuses like Kang Juyeon, and I thought it would take me quite a while to reach through effort alone.

And now, I have finally made that rank my own.

After getting transported to this world, and registering as an F-grade Holder, this accomplishment in just about 9 months was splendid.

“In the system you’re already registered as B-grade, and the official certificate will be issued to you in a week.”

“Ah, yes. Thank you.”

Lee Ji-hye passed me some documents and explained various things – the privileges and responsibilities of a B-grade Holder, issues related to taxes, and other miscellaneous matters.

After briefly explaining for around 10 minutes, Lee Ji-hye looked at me again, her eyes shining.

“Anyway, this is really amazing. It feels just like yesterday when you got promoted to C-grade, and now you’re already B-grade…”

Just like yesterday… that was true.

I had gotten promoted to C-grade just 4 months ago, at the very start of vacation in late June…

To have satisfied all the evaluations for ability and achievements in just those 4 months and gotten a promotion, from her perspective of having observed the entire process, it must have seemed unbelievable.

Even I hadn’t seen such a rapid promotion before.

“The examiner was very helpful regarding the achievements evaluation, so I was able to make it happen. Thank you.”

“Oh stop. I was just doing my job as an employee, nothing more.”

By the way, Moon Ga-eun also got promoted to B-grade.

She had come about an hour earlier than me and finalized her promotion before leaving, and it seemed she easily passed the achievements evaluation with her long history of clan activity at <Royal>.

As for her abilities as a B-grade, I had directly confirmed them while hunting in a party together, so there was nothing more to say.

‘Now there’s three B-grades.’

The underground dungeon 5 person party from the Academy.

Out of those, three were already B-grade.

Kang Juyeon, Moon Ga-eun, and me.

Moreover, Kim Chae-eun and Park Jin-woo were also Holders who had reached B-grade level abilities, just lacking in achievements to get promoted.

A party with all B-grade Holder members.

Unlike the temporary party formed in the beginning, it now felt like an elite party.

“Oh right, about the undiscovered dungeon you raided this time.”

Lee Ji-hye suddenly brought up something she seemed to recall.

“The discussion about joint ownership rights will likely be finalized within 3 days. The dungeon name has been set as the one you proposed, Nest Covered by Clouds.”

“Has the raid review finished?”

“Yes. You contacted us yesterday so Association employees were dispatched early this morning. You seem to have raided it quite cleanly.”

“Ah, that’s…”

I awkwardly scratched my cheek at that.

‘…Because Seong Na-yeon raided together.’

The participation of an A-grade Holder at the core of one of the top 3 domestic clans.

Of course the raid would go smoothly.

Well, regardless of the process, the results were the results.

The previously undiscovered dungeon, ‘Nest Covered by Clouds, was discovered and raided by us, so the rights were decided to be jointly owned by Moon Ga-eun and me.

To my dungeon collection I had steadily built up so far… Another name was being added.

That wasn’t all.

[The magic stone of the forgotten dragon has been filled. The tablet is enveloped in the aura of mysterious power.]

My real purpose in raiding the dungeon.

The exploration I had vaguely embarked on to find the ‘dragon’.

My guess had been correct.

Wyvern was the dragon the tablet was asking for.

The four magic stones placed in the five grooves of the tablet.

Now there really was only one left.

‘The rune as well… I found what I wanted.’

The reward from [Rune Hunter] obtained by defeating Wyvern was also satisfactory.

Among the runes Wyvern possessed that were necessary for me right now and could be obtained from Wyvern, it was the best rune.

The attribute magic runes I had steadily collected so far.

Among those, the only one that was empty was regarding ‘wind’, which I desperately needed.

[You have selected ‘Roughly Shaking Wind’. As a level 9 epic rune, its level will drop and it will register as level 5.]

[You have obtained a new rune.]

[With the rune’s attributes, you gain Wind Resistance 5, Magic 4.]

[A new resistance has been activated.]

<Rune Information>

◎ Name: Roughly Shaking Wind

◎ Grade: Epic (E)

◎ Level: 5

◎ Inscribed On: Back

◎ Special Effects: –

: You can now control the power of rough and crude wind. As the nature of the power leans toward attack, the might of the rune changes depending on how it is utilized. When using the rune for attack purposes, might increases by 50%, and when using for defense and support purposes, might decreases by 30%.

: You can use the ‘Levitation’ effect at all times. As long as you have remaining magic, you can levitate in desired locations by turning the surrounding air into an updraft through the power of wind. The maximum height you can rise increases proportionate to magic level and rune level.

: Wind Resistance +5, Magic +4

◎ Derived Skill: –

: [Wind Javelin]

◎ Detailed Information: –

: The sharp winds at times cut and pierce even the flesh. The wind power created while only looking ahead will move solely to aid your attacks.

[Roughly Shaking Wind]

This wind attribute magic rune that Wyvern possessed had power I had directly experienced myself, so it had outstanding capabilities.

Firstly, the stat increases it gives are good.

It raised my magic by 4, and wind resistance by 5.

Considering it was a level 5 epic rune, these were quite high increases.

Thanks to it, like when I obtained other attribute magic runes, I was able to gain the new resistance stat, ‘Wind Resistance’, from this rune as well.

‘The special effects all seem very useful.’

The versatility of the first effect seemed limitless depending on how it was used.

For now, since my magic rune utilization focused heavily on attacking, and the penalty decrease rate was lower than the increase rate, it seemed plenty usable for any purpose.

And the second, ‘Levitation’ effect.

This was no different from converting the [Levitation] skill Seong Na-yeon used into a special effect.

An effect absolutely necessary when facing aerial monsters, or in special situations requiring flight.

Especially for me who needed ‘Levitation’ to utilize [The Greatest Racehorse Under Heaven] and [High-speed Fight], this was the most necessary effect out of anything.

‘The skill is… that magic spear from back then.’

[Wind Javelin] was literally a ‘wind spear’ as the name suggested.

The powerful attacking skill Wyvern had used several times, which had persistently bothered us.

It allowed throwing 10 spears of wind at the enemy. As the ‘epic rune’s direct attack skill’, the cooldown was quite long at 1 day.

‘There’s not a single thing to throw away.’

They were all satisfactory rewards.

Aside from these, there were also various items from the rest area, materials harvested from Wyvern when we attempted to hunt it, materials obtained from hunting other aerial monsters, and so on…

Although there were a variety of rewards, these were the major ones that could influence my Holder information.

After exchanging some more minor talk with Lee Ji-hye, I finished up and left the Holder Association with light footsteps.

“Starting today… I’ll be busy with the circle.”

I’ll have to put strengthening my Holder information on hold temporarily.

Now I had to focus on seriously carrying out activities for the <Anti-Villain> circle.

There was more to do within the circle than I thought.

Finding spies infiltrated into the Academy and evidence of that needed to be top priority, and I also had to look into <Villain>’s changed movements after Kim Do-yoon’s assault incident.

Now that I had the protection of <Judgment of Fire> and <Royal> on my back…

Even if it is a circle activity within the Academy, I couldn’t take things lightly.

Click-

After coming back to the Academy and attending all my remaining classes, I went to the circle clubroom in the student association building.

Today is Tuesday, so it was the day for Yoo Eun-seol’s dedicated lesson, but her personal schedule overlapped so the lesson this week was postponed to Friday.

Thanks to that, I could devote today entirely to circle activities.

“Huh?”

But there was already a visitor in the clubroom.

Long, dark hair tinged slightly red.

A casual yet slightly formal outfit.

Really, all that stuff was unnecessary – the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful appearance.

“..Hey.”

It was Kang Juyeon.

Since I came right after class ended, I thought I’d be the first one to arrive, but she was already sitting in a corner of the meeting room, having come who knows how long ago.

And in her seat…

she seemed to be writing something down.

In the brief moment I encountered her, those words all entered my eyes at once.

– A-grade, fire, epic rune, combat experience, growth, Do Jae-hyun?

Only after seeing that did I realize.

‘Growth episode!’

Kang Juyeon’s growth episode.

The plan I had prearranged was now bearing fruit.

Originally, Kang Juyeon was supposed to meet Yoon Ji-ah in the <Flame Dance> circle and undergo growth once.

The chance for her as a B-grade to rise to A-grade.

And the moment the youngest ever A-grade promotion in Holder history took place.

Although Kang Juyeon didn’t end up joining <Flame Dance> unlike the original, and instead Yoon Ji-ah came to <Anti-Villain>, the puzzle pieces hanging by a thread matched up nicely.

That was the writing right now.

Something I would never normally see…

Kang Juyeon’s new appearance after meeting Yoon Ji-ah.

It was odd my name was included in her keywords for growth, but it looked like a mind map where she noted down keywords related to her growth overall.

It seemed to be a very desirable self-improvement.

However…

‘What’s this?’

The next page also contained other words, barely visible.

Although not clear, thanks to her pretty handwriting I could easily make out what they were.

– Kim Chae-eun, just the two of them, hunting, weekend, Moon Ga-eun, again?

…What is this?

Feels like I saw something I shouldn’t have.

Like I’ll regret coming straight to the clubroom after class.

Noticing my gaze, Kang Juyeon very naturally covered up the writing and slid it aside.

Seeing that unfamiliar sight, I awkwardly greeted her.

“Oh, hey. You came early, huh? Haha.”

“Yeah.”

And.

Her voice was somehow colder than usual.

Hearing that, my suspicions solidified.

…She’s definitely mad, right?
