Chapter 54: 054 Overwhelming Acting Skills
Lin Lan was Lin Xing’s cousin, so Fu Xiaoxiao had always taken good care of her.
Lin Lan lowered her head to wipe away her tears and gently shook her head. She looked as if she had been greatly wronged. She glanced at her manager from the corner of her eye, and her lips curled into a triumphant smile after seeing him nod. Then, she looked at Shen Yan with an aggrieved expression.
“Shen Yan, I know you got the female lead through connections.” Lin Lan looked at Shen Yan stubbornly and cried, “I know that we can’t compare to you, but don’t have to go against us!”
“I got the position of the female lead due to my acting abilities,” Shen Yan replied expressionlessly. Her gaze fell on the distinct palm print on Lin Lan’s face and continued, “You deserve the beating you got.”
Shen Yan had long seen through Lin Lan’s intentions. She glanced at Lin Lan meaningfully and walked swiftly to Lin Lan’s manager. She looked at the recorded video and broke the phone in half after deleting it.
Lin Lan and Fu Xiaoxiao were completely dumbfounded by her actions. They looked at the broken phone that Shen Yan had thrown on the ground with a horrified look, and took a step back in unison.
Everyone else in the dressing room was also taken aback by Shen Yan. They did not expect her to be this strong. All of them wanted to stay away from Shen Yan so that they could live longer.
In the afternoon, the production crew started filming the scene between Shen Yan and Lin Lan.
Shen Yan stood alone in a white dress. She seemed like an immortal who had descended from the sky. Her cold temperament made people feel that they could only watch her from afar.
Lin Lan, who was standing opposite Shen Yan, was wearing a light blue ancient costume. Her head was covered in gold ornaments.
Although Lin Lan was beautiful, she seemed unbearably vulgar when standing next to Shen Yan.
The director looked at the two standing together and frowned. He said angrily, “Where’s the makeup artist? Get the hair ornaments off Lin Lan’s head! What’s the point of wearing so many hair ornaments?!”
The makeup artist did not dare to utter a single word after being scolded. She ran over quickly and took some of the hair accessories off Lin Lan’s head.
The director stood there calmly and scrutinized Shen Yan and Lin Lan carefully. One was a chivalrous woman who did not care about worldly affairs, while the other was a young lady from a wealthy family.

However, the director did not say anything after thinking that the two of them were love rivals in the drama. Then, he prepared to start filming the scenes.
After going through a few takes, the director got so angry that he stood up and rushed in front of Lin Lan.
“Lin Lan, do you know how to act? If you don’t know how to, just get lost!” The director bellowed and glared at Lin Lan fiercely. He had seen Lin Lan’s previous shows. Although her acting skills were terrible, they were not as bad as now!
It was the first time that Lin Lan got scolded so harshly. Her eyes instantly reddened and tears started falling.
The director did not bother to look at Lin Lan again. He looked at Shen Yan with satisfaction. His voice carried some respect as he uttered, “Shen Yan, you’re doing good. You just need to continue acting out this kind of temperament like you don’t know anything about the world.”
“Thank you, Director.” Shen Yan smiled sweetly.
Shen Yan had previously acted with experienced actors in the past. Although her acting skills were superb, she hid her skills in order to avoid the edge.
However, Lin Lan came to stir trouble this afternoon. Shen Yan did not bother holding back. She unleashed her aura fully, scaring Lin Lan to the point that she forgot her lines. Even if Lin Lan remembered her lines later, she could no longer perform at her usual level.
The director asked Shen Yan to take a break at the side and came to talk to Lin Lan about the scene. When he saw that Lin Lan was still in a daze, he frowned involuntarily and inquired, “Do you understand?”
Lin Lan nodded her head aggrievedly.
“Can the make-up artist help the actors to touch up their make-up? Let’s continue filming!” After the director said that, he sat back on his exclusive seat and proceeded to shoot the scene.
