Chapter 495: 495 Preparing for the Engagement Ceremony

Shen Yan had completely lost her temper. She sat in front of the dinner table, anticipating her weekend return to South City to discuss the engagement.

Shen Yan was the sole daughter of Shen Kun, and he had no intention of mistreating her. In addition, Shen Yan’s wedding to Fu Hang was held with stinginess. This time, he wanted to prepare for the most meaningful and extravagant wedding for Shen Yan.

Shen Kun had even made a particular effort to find an auspicious day. The engagement party was ultimately scheduled for August 16 of this year.

After the date of the engagement celebration was determined, Fu Hang inquired about the wedding date. Hearing this, Shen Kun felt quite apprehensive.

“This year isn’t over yet. We’ll talk about next year’s matters next year,” Shen Kun stated with a chilly expression.

Shen Yan quickly tugged Fu Hang’s hand, suggesting he should not act impulsively.

Fu Hang said courteously, “I’ll listen to Uncle.”

Shen Yan and Fu Hang didn’t stay here for long before they returned to An City.

When they returned, they learned from others that the wedding of Lu Yan and Su Qi was scheduled for April 25.

Everyone in the circle was stunned. They could not comprehend why Lu Yan and Su Qi were so impatient to get married.

After all, most people in the circle would get engaged first and then hold a wedding. No matter which one it was, it would take a long time to prepare.

Su Qi had however recently returned from abroad and was going to get married. Clearly, she had never planned a wedding previously.

Obviously, Shen Yan was not curious about the reason for their marriage. It was because she neither cared nor desired to care.

Shen Yan was frequently asked what she thought of Lu Yan’s marriage.

Although they were all in the same circle, those people had never interacted with her.

Fu Hang instructed Lin Nan to plan the engagement celebration once more. Shen Yan exited the bathroom following a shower and saw that he was still talking on the phone.?Suddenly, she recalled the wedding reception where they almost tied the knot.

Shen Yan softly pursed her lips and felt a bit uneasy.

As soon as he saw Shen Yan enter, Fu Hang hung up the phone. He chuckled as he drew Shen Yan to his side. “What are your thoughts about the engagement party?”

Shen Yan softly pursed her lips. She pondered for a bit before asking, “Are you not angry?”

Fu Hang looked at Shen Yan in confusion. “Because we’re getting married next year?”

Shen Yan shook her head and said, “No.”

“As long as I am with you, nothing else can upset me.” Fu Hang asked back.

“Our former wedding...” Shen Yan lacked the guts to proceed.

“I don’t care.”?Fu Hang stated gravely, “As long as you’re willing to be with me in the end, I’ll be quite content.?What do you think about our engagement party?”

“I don’t have any requests.” Shen Yan smiled and shook her head in response.

Shen Yan had no specific requests for the engagement party. Probably because her family circumstances were favorable. Her parents were affectionate, and she had an independent personality. She was able to fulfill her desires the majority of the time.

Moreover, she did not place much importance on the engagement party. It was identical to the annual company celebration. As long as Fu Hang was around, everything would be fine.

However, Fu Hang did not think so. He felt that he had mistreated Shen Yan too often in the past, and now he wished to make amends in any way possible.

Shen Yan eventually requested that Fu Hang prepare it himself.

Shen Yan was in her office the following day, per normal, reading paperwork and contemplating the script.

Miss Na rang the doorbell and entered. “Miss Su is downstairs and wants to see you, Miss Shen!”

Miss Su?

Perhaps it was Su Qi.

Shen Yan’s eyes furrowed slightly as she glanced at her watch and questioned, “Did she say anything else?”

She stated that she will give you an invitation.

Shen Yan recalled what Su Qi stated at the banquet upon hearing this from Miss Na and said, “Send her up.”

Su Qi had told her that she would send her an invitation, but she did not expect her to act so quickly.
