“It’s okay. I have already called for a cab. Also, thank you for your hospitality today,” Shen Yan stated with a smile. She took a step back upon seeing that Lu Yan had walked to the entrance.
“I’ll send you back.” Lu Yan lowered his head and put on his shoes. It took him two tries to put on his shoes.
What Lu Yan actually meant was that he was going to take the cab with Shen Yan and send her home instead of driving her back.
Seeing that Lu Yan was already drunk, Shen
did not say anything else seeing how insistent he was.
The taxi driver drove Shen Yan to her apartment building. She got out of the car and noticed that Lu Yan was about to get out as well. She then frowned slightly. “Young Master Lu, you can just send me until here. You should hurry back now.” As Shen Yan spoke, she stopped Lu Yan who was about to get out of the car, and closed the door without hesitation.
Shen Yan walked to the front and signaled the taxi driver to lower the window on the passenger seat.

Shen Yan said to the taxi driver in the front seat, “Please send him back.”
As she said this, Shen Yan took out three banknotes.
The taxi driver’s eyes lit up instantly. He took the three banknotes hurriedly, and the corners of his mouth could not help but curl up. “Rest assured, I will definitely help you send him back!”
“Thank you.” Shen Yan smiled in return. Then, she turned to look at Lu Yan and said, “Young Master Lu, good night. Send a message when you get home.”
Lu Yan sat in the back of the car. His face was in the shadows. No one could see the expression on his face clearly.
“Okay,” Lu Yan answered vaguely.
Shen Yan stood on the spot and watched the taxi leave.
Lu Yan sat in the taxi. His eyes were not drunk at all, and they appeared cold.
When Shen Yan returned home, she washed up and went to bed.
Perhaps it was because she had heard Lu Yan’s story that she really had a nightmare at night.
Shen Yan dreamed of the time when she was kidnapped again.
In the past, she could not see the kidnapper’s face clearly as the lower half of his face was covered. But this time, she saw the kidnapper’s eyes clearly. Those eyes were exactly the same as Lu Yan’s.
Just then, the alarm clock on her phone rang.
Shen Yan sat up from her bed.
It was morning, and it turned out to be just a dream.
Shen Yan’s back was covered in cold sweat. She then got up and headedto the bathroom. After tidying up, she drove to the production team.
After today’s filming, her scenes were finished. Shen Yan thus headed home first.
As soon as she returned home, Chen Nian ran over from next door. “Yanyan, let’s go on a trip together!” Chen Nian said excitedly. As Shen Yan had just finished shooting, she wanted to rest for a period of time. She didn’t want to go out, just as she was about to refuse, Chen Nian continued, “Qinghe Town is an ancient town. Their fishermen’s lodging was originally ordinary, and they were renovating their place a while ago. However, they found a hot spring a few days back. It’s an indulging pleasure to soak in a hot spring in winter. Moreover, it’s also good for the body. Let’s go together, okay?”
Hearing Chen Nian’s words, Shen Yan nodded in agreement. Therefore, they packed their things and planned to visit Qinghe Town together the next morning.
It only took a three-hour drive from An City to Qinghe Town.
Upon arriving in Qinghe Town, Shen Yan felt at peace as if she had gotten away from the bustling city.
For the next few days, they visited the hot spring often and strolled around the town. Their days were spent very happily. Afterward, Shen Yan and Chen Nian wanted to climb the mountain. Fortunately, there were steps as it was covered with snow. As for the snow on the steps, it had been cleared by the staff. As long as they climbed up the mountain, they could get down by the cable car.
However, Chen Nian ran to Shen Yan’s room early in the morning and said bitterly, “Yanyan, I’m sorry. My period is here! I can’t accompany you to climb the mountain.”
