318 Ch. 318 Good News

One second…

Two seconds…

Three seconds…

Each second felt like hours, and Anxia became impatient to see the change in the three pregnancy test kits. Not long after, Anxia noticed a line starting to appear, followed by other lines. Instantly her body turned motionless, and she could almost feel her heart pounding as fast as a rocket.

Only when Richard reached their room did Anxia turn around to her husband tightly.

“Xia Xia? What happened? Are you hurt?”

Anxia shook her head quickly, raising her head to look at Richard’s eyes. Her eyes looked teary, but not because of sorrow―it was an incomparable joy as if she had found a priceless treasure.

“Did something joyful happen?”

“Richie, I… I…” Before Anxia could finish her words, Richard’s phone rang loudly, making his wife stop her sentence.

.....

Richard reached into his pocket for his phone. “Hello?... Yes, it’s Calvin’s speaking….”

Anxia waited patiently, wondering who had contacted her husband. Why did Richard occasionally look at her with twinkling eyes? Does her husband have good news as well?

“Are you sure?... That... That’s great...”

Anxia was even more confused by the enthusiastic voice of her husband and the look in his eyes that looked at her happily.

“Okay. We’ll be there soon. Thank you very much!”

Anxia screamed in surprise when her husband picked her up without warning and twirled her, laughing joyfully, inviting her to laugh with him.

“Xia Xia, you won’t believe this.”

“What is it? What happened?”

“Guess who called me?”

“Who?”

“The hospital.”

“Hospital?” Anxia tried to think of why the hospital contacted her husband and made Richard laugh like this.

Is it possible…

“Is… is my father...”

Richard nodded in confirmation of his wife’s guess. “Your father was awake a few minutes ago!”

Without realizing it, tears of emotion and full of joy just dripped from the corner of her eyes. Anxia felt her heart almost explode because of how merry today was.

Anxia was so happy right now that Anxia was worried that what she was experiencing was just a dream―if it was only a dream... how terrified she would be when she woke up.

“Richie, you’re not lying, right? Is it a dream? What if all this is just―” Anxia couldn’t continue worrying as Richard kissed her lips greedily and passionately.

Richard wanted to reassure his wife that they were not dreaming, and Zhou Yu Hue had opened his eyes from his years of coma. Dominant and demanding, Richard managed to open his wife’s mouth giving access to his tongue to dart inside.

The way Richard kissed her and hugged his wife very tightly made Anxia run out of oxygen. Her head was floating, and all her senses were focused on the passionate fondling of her husband. The touch of the man’s hand and the play of the man’s tongue felt real and so intoxicating that it made her nerves want to be in her husband’s arms all the time.

This is not a dream. Now Anxia felt sure.

“Do you believe me now?” asked Richard playfully.

“Don’t people slap their cheeks to ensure it’s not a dream?”

Richard responded by pinching his wife’s cheek fondly. “I don’t want to slap you, and it was hurt when you slapped me that one time. I preferred this way.” for the umpteenth time, Richard sucked and bit his wife’s lower lip, inviting a sigh of pleasure from her.

“Do you want to meet your father?” Richard couldn’t help but smile at his wife’s sparkling gaze.

Anxia nodded enthusiastically, then immediately grabbed her husband’s hand to return to the hospital.

“Love, didn’t you want to talk to me about something?” Richard remembered his wife was about to tell him something when the hospital contacted him.

Ah, that. Anxia recalled the second happy news. “Richie, I…” but someone always bothered them whenever Anxia was about to tell him.

“Mommy!” called Lori to her mother, followed by Elliot, who looked at Anxia with a probing look. “Are you sick again?”

“No. I’m fine.” Anxia’s answer made Lori smile with relief while Elliot still stared at his mother’s expression with his eyes.

Seeing that Anxia’s facial color had returned, Elliot didn’t need to worry anymore. But he wondered why both his parents beamed in joy.

“There is good news from the hospital,” Richard announced something that made his two children, Stanley and Meisya, follow to see the condition of their daughter-in-law―feel curious. “Father is awake, and we are going to visit him. Would you like to come along?”

“You mean Zhou Yu Hue has already awake?”

“Grandpa is awake?” Elliot repeated his grandfather’s question and shared his happiness because the grandfather, unconscious for a long time, finally woke up.

Richard and Anxia looked at each other and smiled happily in response to their questions.

“Yeah! Grandpa finally woke up!” Elliot jumped enthusiastically, followed by his twin sister, who also imitated his older brother’s way of jumping.

Lori tried to jump as high as possible to match her brother’s jump, making four adults laugh at her behavior.

In truth, Lori didn’t know Zhou Yu Hue because she only learned she had another grandfather one year ago. But her mood was easily swayed to follow the hearts of those she cared about. If that person were feeling sad, Lori would be discouraged too. But when the person was happy, she would also be pleased.

Without waiting for the time or changing clothes, they all went straight to the hospital to see Zhou Yu Hue’s condition.

And it turned out to be true. Zhou Yu Hue had opened his eyes, and occasionally the fingers of his right and left hands moved as if in response to what he heard.

Due to having been unconscious for too long, most of the nerves in Zhou Yu Hue’s body could barely function normally. It would take some time for Zhou Yu Hue to be able to move his muscles again.

Anxia clasped her father’s slender hands making Yu Hue glance at her daughter. His mouth opened to say something, but his words were unclear because he had not spoken for too long. But just through the look in his eyes, everyone could see how happy the father was to see his daughter’s face.

“Dad, thank you for waking up again. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time, and now, you multiply my happiness. I’m expecting my third child, and I hope you can be by my side when I give birth.”

Richard’s smile vanished and was replaced by a wide-eyed look.

Had he heard wrong? His wife is pregnant!?

Is it a dream? Now he truly wishes to slap himself to ensure it was not a dream.
