Chapter 15: Ch. 15 Ling Meng
The following day, Richard took Lori out after feeding his daughter milk. Lori was a wonderful child and woke up quickly as soon as someone lifted her.
Lori also finished her milk and her gnocchi like a good girl. The gnocchi was pasta made from boiled potatoes shaped into small rounds, and it was garnished with bolognese sauce which turned out to be Lori’s favorite.
As soon as Lori finished her breakfast menu, Richard took Lori to the Crown Plaza hotel, where he would meet the child’s mother, Qiao Anxia.
Even though Richard had not seen the woman for four years, he had never forgotten the sexy girl. Her alluring voice, the sigh of pleasure as his hands pamper the girl’s body, and the sweet den of pleasure... none of which he forgot even he tried to.
Even now, his pants felt tight at the thought of that unforgettable, passionate night. That’s why he wondered why he did not turn on when he heard the woman’s voice on the phone.
He sensed something different about the girl’s voice but couldn’t pin his finger on it.
As soon as he parked his luxury car, Richard took his daughter into the hotel and headed to the cafe. While waiting for Anxia’s arrival, Richard ordered coffee for himself and a small bowl of ice cream for his daughter.

Like yesterday, Lori sat comfortably on her father’s lap while licking her ice cream scoop. A man with bright brown hair and handsomeness that deserves to be the world’s top bachelor dramatically attracted the attention of the girls around them.
Plus, the handsome man was with a doll-like baby girl. The girl had thick, wavy blonde hair that was breathtaking.
What’s even more fascinating is her unique eye color and dimples every time she smiles. The shape of the child’s dimples was precisely like the father’s, making everyone believe that they were indeed father and daughter.
Ah, they were curious as to who the child’s mother was to have such a beautiful and excited-looking daughter. Seeing the father’s handsome face, his wife must also be good-looking, like a famous model.
Too bad the handsome man was already married. Otherwise, all the girls would try to get acquainted with the guy. Thought each of the women who were worshiping the two beautiful creatures near them.
Little did they know that Richard was not married yet, and because of someone’s actions, he was trapped in a passionate and exciting night so that this little girl could be born into this world.
“Lori, mommy will be here soon. Are you impatient?”
“En. I can’t wait to see you two meet!” exclaimed Lori with her trademark wide smile.
“What is your mother like?”
“Mama is dazzling, and many good guys are trying to chase after her. But she was awful to those guys, making them run away before starting a conversation.”
Richard smiled inwardly. Awful? Yes, that sexy woman was quite fierce when she wanted to kill him.
“But she is very good to me. Mommy always stood up for me when someone was rude to me. She isn’t afraid of anyone, but I don’t know why we have to move around.”
“Do you often change places?”
“Erm. We just moved to Germany three months ago.”
“What about before? Where do you live?”
“We live in Arabia.”
“...”
“But not for long, because many people in black hoods chase after mama with black toys.”
Black toys? What toys?
“It sounded like this, bang bang bang. Then mom hid me in the clothes shed while she played with those people. How unfair! Why can she play, but I can’t?”

Bang bang bang? Don’t tell me... those black toys are guns?
Good grief! Who exactly was this Qiao Anxia to meet armed people? And what did she say? Play? Was it possible that Anxia tricked her own daughter so Lori wouldn’t feel scared?

It was more like Lori was boasting about her mother to her handsome father.
Richard listened attentively to his daughter’s stories and noted some important things about his future wife.
He didn’t know the girl’s primary profession, but judging by her daughter’s story, it seemed that she had something to do with the mafia world.

It looked like he had to investigate the woman’s background if he wanted this to work.
“Good morning. I’m Loreinne’s mother.”
Richard shifted his eyes towards the source of the voice, followed by Loreine. They both frowned at the face of the voice owner just now, and the two of them had the same reaction, making Ling Meng stunned.
Is this Loreinne’s father? He looked more attractive than the image she had seen. Now she understood where Lori had inherited her European look.
Ling Meng couldn’t understand why her friend wasted this perfect husband-to-be years ago.

Ling Meng immediately cut off Lori’s sentence with the message her friend wanted to convey to this little girl.
In an instant, Lori closed her mouth and didn’t move. Suddenly her mood dropped, and she was no longer excited. She didn’t dare to lift her face and lowered her eyes while looking at her hands playing with Richard’s shirt carelessly.
The mood change in his daughter left Richard baffled to death. He became curious about what this woman said to his beloved baby girl.
Richard did not recognize this woman’s tongue, and it was clear that this woman was not Qiao Anxia. But this woman’s voice was exactly the same as the voice that had called him last night.
Does that mean, Anxia is avoiding him and asking this woman for help to come in her stead?
If his guess was correct, this woman must be Ling Meng, his daughter spoke of last night.
