Chapter 303: Yan Kai

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

“Yan Kai, it’s Ji Wei!” Ji Wei’s tone was still very bossy. Even though the man on the line sounded like he was not to be trifled with, Ji Wei was fearless.

“I know, my little madam.” The man’s voice was a little muted, as if he had just woken up. He chuckled and said, “Heh, aren’t you afraid that your brother will cut your allowance? How dare you contact me?”

“I can’t care less. I’ve really been bullied this time!”

It was not that Ji Wei wasn’t afraid of her brother, Ji Yan. When someone outbid her at an auction the last time, she was so mad that she wanted Yan Kai to teach the guy a lesson..

However, Ji Wei didn’t expect the person to be dead before Yan Kai’s plan could be executed.

In Ji Wei’s opinion, it was a good thing that the heavens had helped her vent her anger. However, she didn’t know how Ji Yan found out that she had asked Yan Kai for help.

Because of this matter, not only did Ji Yan restrict Ji Wei’s range of activities, he also canceled her black card. In addition, he made Ji Wei block Yan Kai. He gave her a stern warning not to contact him anymore.

Ji Yan and Yan Kai were childhood friends. Ji Yan didn’t understand why their relationship turned so sour after they grew up.

However, in Ji Wei’s opinion, Yan Kai had doted on her more than Ji Yan, her biological brother, ever since she was young.

When she got bullied as a kid, Ji Yan would only reason with the other party or choose to find an adult to resolve the conflict peacefully. Yan Kai was different. As long as someone bullied Ji Wei, he would beat them up until they apologized.

Once, because a boy accidentally dirtied Ji Wei’s new dress, Yan Kai beat him up until he was hospitalized. If Ji Yan hadn’t stopped him, the child’s injuries would have been much worse.

Yan Kai’s parents were both businessmen. Even if Yan Kai got into trouble, he would usually use money to resolve the problem. It was only when Yan Kai almost killed someone because of some small conflict in junior high school that Yan Kai’s parents began to pay attention to his issues.

In the end, Yan Kai was diagnosed with paranoid personality disorder and anxiety disorder. In order to obtain better psychiatric treatment, Yan Kai’s parents took him overseas.

Yan Kai had less contact with the Ji siblings after he went overseas. More than ten years later, his mental illness was somewhat cured, but his personality was still very extreme.

After coming home, he took the initiative to contact Ji Wei and Ji Yan. However, Yan Kai understood that their relationship would never return to how it was before.

However, Ji Wei didn’t seem to have changed much. She was still the same spoiled brat. Yan Kai was very happy that Ji Wei hadn’t changed. After all, he had changed too much. He could only see some of his past in Ji Wei.

“Who’s the stupid idiot who snatched something you fancy?” Yan Kai knew Ji Wei’s temper and felt that it was likely something inconsequential. His tone was still very relaxed.

“It’s not something this time…” Ji Wei sniffled and sounded like she was about to cry.

Yan Kai became wide awake when he heard Ji Wei’s teary tone. His tone became much more serious. “Don’t cry. Who’s the one who’s tired of living and is looking for trouble with you?”

Hearing Yan Kai’s words, Ji Wei smiled in satisfaction. She pretended to be on the verge of tears and said, “A bitch. How dare she snatch my man!”

“A man?” Yan Kai heaved a sigh of relief and asked disdainfully, “Is it that loser called Liu Li?”

“Yan Kai, you’re not allowed to talk about my boyfriend like that!” Ji Wei pouted angrily. She knew that Yan Kai looked down on Liu Li, whose family background and appearance were ordinary, but in her heart, Liu Li was more perfect than anyone else.

“Alright, I won’t say anything. Then what are you worried about? Your boyfriend is so good. Would he cheat on you?”

After Yan Kai finished speaking, he waited for a few seconds but Ji Wei remained silent. He smiled and asked, “No way! Don’t tell me your boyfriend cheated on you?”

“Stop provoking me. Just tell me if you’re going to help or not.” Ji Wei was throwing a tantrum again. Yan Kai was actually quite used to her temper.

“Of course I’ll help.” Yan Kai’s tone was doting. He would usually satisfy Ji Wei’s requests unconditionally. “How do you want me to help you? Do you want me to help you deal with that woman, or to punish the adulterous couple?”

“Yan Kai!” Ji Wei was agitated by Yan Kai’s words and explained seriously, “This isn’t Liu Li’s fault.. Just help me teach that girl a lesson!”
