145 Cousin
Su Ning gave Yin Tao a break as they didn’t have any new cases for the time being.
Looking at the time, Yin Tao decided to go to the canteen for breakfast first. She would meet Lin Jia later at noon and explain to him before returning the necklace.
On the way to the canteen, Yin Tao passed by the entrance of the police station and saw Xia Jin, who seemed to be looking for someone. There was a young man beside him who looked unfamiliar.
“Xiao Xia,” Yin Tao called out to Xia Jin. When she saw him walking towards her, she asked, “Why isn’t Bai Luo with you? Did she work through the night again yesterday?
“Bai Luo and Ji Yu have been sent on surveillance duty.” Xia Jin shrugged and said, “Now, I’m the only one left in division one.”
Yin Tao’s gaze landed on the young man beside Xia Jin. He didn’t look too old and should be in his early twenties. His features are pretty and delicate, but his eyes were sharp and piercing.
“Oh, sister Xiaotao, this is the new intern detective, Su Yan.” Xia Jin thought for a moment and whispered in Yin Tao’s ear, “She’s your master’s cousin, she’s very capable.”
“Don’t mention my brother!” Su Yan’s voice was a little gender neutral, however, her loud roar shocked Xia Jin.
Yin Tao’s brain clearly wasn’t quite functioning, so she hesitantly asked Xia Jin, “Are you sure she’s a lady?”
“You must be Dr. Yin. My brother often talks about you.” Su Yan smiled brightly and extended a hand to Yin Tao.

“But Su Yan, you and Dr. Su have the same surname. Are you really just cousins?” Xia Jin felt that the age gap between Su Ning and Su Yan was a little large. If not for the fact that Su Ning was only 35 years old, Xia Jin would have suspected that Su Yan was Dr. Su’s daughter.
“It’s a coincidence that we have the same surname. My father and his father coincidentally have the same surname.” Su Yan thought for a moment and changed to a more straightforward explanation. “To put it simply, my mother is Dr. Su’s aunt.”
While Xia Jin and Yin Tao had already sorted out their relationships, Su Yan’s gender remained a mystery because she was no different from a little boy in terms of appearance and voice.

Moreover, she’s also a champion boxer, long-distance runner, and boxer of City A. She has also won top prizes in many other competitions.”
Yin Tao couldn’t help clapping. She felt that Su Yan, who was clearly not tall, suddenly seemed to have a taller stature.
“You’re overstating the truth.” Su Yan looked at Xia Jin in embarrassment and asked, “Officer Xia, when are you taking me to report to the deputy bureau chief?”
“It’s not that I don’t want to. The deputy chief and Captain Zhang aren’t at the police station. Why don’t you go have some breakfast first and we’ll report later?”
