111 Condolences

“Xiaotao, Captain Feng may be handsome and outstanding, but you should focus on medical research and handling cases. You can’t simply go dating whenever you have time.” Su Ning advised Yin Tao earnestly as he dealt with the corpse.

“Master, Captain Feng and I were working on a case, we weren’t dating!” Yin Tao corrected him.

“Is that so?” Su Ning clearly didn’t believe her. He gently propped up his glasses and said slowly, “That’s good. I have a cousin who is also from the police academy. I think she’s a match for Captain Feng. I’ll hook them up tomorrow.”

Yin Tao pursed her lips and didn’t say anything. However, she was certain that Feng Jing would definitely not be interested in Su Ning’s detective cousin.

“Master, how was this corpse found to be abnormal?” Yin Tao looked at the surroundings of the morgue and felt that the place where the corpse was found was a little too normal. She and her master could even carry out an autopsy on the spot.

“This person’s identity hasn’t been confirmed yet, and his face has also been adjusted a lot. The corpses in the morgue are also recorded. How can there be an additional corpse without being discovered?”

Yin Tao walked closer and carefully examined the corpse’s facial features. Because they were in the morgue, the degree of damage wasn’t serious. Although the face was ugly, it was normal.

Yin Tao gently pressed down on the outline of the victim’s face, and as expected, she found prostheses and fat fillings.

“The murderer meticulously turned the victims into ugly women and then watched them die.” Yin Tao looked at the disproportionate facial features of the woman and shook her head. “Just how much hatred does he have, or how twisted his mentality is to do such a thing?”

“The cause of death should be the same as Song Yi’s. Next step is to confirm the deceased’s identity. There’s nothing else unusual in this case.” Su Ning had just taken off his gloves when Feng Jing walked in. A woman in a white coat followed behind.

“Dr. Su, this is Le Yuan, the surgical director of the Central Hospital.” Feng Jing introduced Le Yuan to Su Ning. “She wants to identify the deceased. It’s possible that it is someone she knows.”

Su Ning nodded and made way for Le Yuan.

When Le Yuan saw Yin Tao behind Su Ning, she couldn’t hide the surprise on her face. “You are also…”

“Forensic doctor, Yin Tao.” Before Le Yuan could react, Yin Tao introduced herself.

Yin Tao recognized that Le Yuan was the female doctor who treated her when she hurt her head, and Feng Jing brought her to the Central Hospital for treatment.

This female doctor was classy and elegant. She exuded the aura of a scholarly young lady from a noble family. Yin Tao felt that she seemed to like Feng Jing, but for some reason, Captain Feng didn’t seem to have any other intentions towards her.

When Yin Tao saw Le Yuan looking at her in shock, she gestured for her to identify the corpse.

Only then did Le Yuan collect herself. Realizing that she had lost her composure, she immediately retracted her gaze from Yin Tao. She cannot associate this cute and petite young girl with forensics.

Realizing that this was not the time to be distracted, Le Yuan stepped forward and looked at the corpse seriously.

“Dr. Yin, please help me lift her left leg.”

Le Yuan wasn’t wearing gloves, so it was normal for her to ask Yin Tao for help. However, Feng Jing, who was at the door, frowned in displeasure. Watching Yin Tao lift the corpse’s left leg with some effort, Feng Jing felt uncomfortable.

“Yingying!” When Le Yuan saw the black and red circular birthmark on the calf joint of the corpse’s left leg, she could not help but cover her mouth in shock. Tears instantly fell from the corners of her eyes.

“How is that possible…” Le Yuan looked at Yang Ying’s completely unrecognizable face and couldn’t stop her tears from flowing. “How did this happen? How could it be!”

Le Yuan wasn’t crying loudly, but it sounded especially miserable in the empty morgue.

Yin Tao felt uncomfortable when she heard this. Looking at the sobbing Le Yuan, Yin Tao shot a glance at Feng Jing, who was standing at the door. She wanted to gesture to him to comfort Le Yuan. They couldn’t let her couldn’t continue crying like this, but Feng Jing acted as if he couldn’t see Yin Tao’s gaze and turned his head away, completely ignoring Le Yuan.

Yin Tao knitted her brows. This damn uncaring man!

Yin Tao had no choice but to take off her protective suit and rubber gloves. She gently patted Le Yuan’s shoulder and comforted her softly, “Doctor Le, my condolences. Let’s wait for the test results. This birthmark alone might not be able to confirm the identity of the deceased.”
