106 Disfigurement

“Xue Na’s condition is relatively stable. Her husband visits her every week.”

The nurse flipped through Xue Na’s medical record and brought Feng Jing and Yin Tao to Ward 217. She instructed them, “Try not to keep staring at her. The patient’s situation is special. You’d better be mentally prepared.”

“What’s the cause of her illness? Can you show it to me?” Although Yin Tao was a forensic doctor, she was ultimately a medical student. She wanted to understand the cause of Xue Na’s illness so that she could better analyze Xue Na’s mental health problems.

The nurse handed Xue Na’s medical record to Yin Tao so that they could understand Xue Na’s situation in detail. It would also help them in the meeting with her later.

!!

“Post-traumatic stress disorder…” Yin Tao quickly read through Xue Na’s medical report and noted that there wasn’t any family genetic factor in her case. Instead, it was a series of mental disorders caused by stimulation.

Yin Tao’s eyes trembled when she saw the photo on Xue Na’s medical record.

“Her face?” Yin Tao frowned tightly. When she was investigating Xue Na’s personal information at the police station, Yin Tao had seen Xue Na’s ID photo.

Although she wasn’t as pretty as Song Yi and wasn’t as exquisite as Zhang Rui, she was still a woman with good facial features. However, the photo on the medical record reminded Yin Tao of Song Yi’s swollen face when she was killed.

“I heard that it was a botched plastic surgery. It’s considered a medical accident.”

When the nurse saw Yin Tao’s shocked expression, she explained to her, “This patient is quite pitiful. I heard that the after effects of the failed plastic surgery were very serious. At that time, she nearly lost her life. However, she really couldn’t take the blow and became more and more anxious and irritable. In the end, she suffered from a serious mental disorders.”

Feng Jing walked to Yin Tao’s side and looked at Xue Na’s photo on the medical record. He had a bad feeling about this.

“Let’s go in and take a look.” Feng Jing gestured for the nurse to open the door. Yin Tao stood at the side with her thoughts in a mess.

Disfigurement, failed plastic surgery, a corpse maliciously turned into a monster…

Yin Tao felt that these matters were definitely connected.

Under the lead of the nurse, Yin Tao and Feng Jing met Xue Na.

Seeing someone enter, Xue Na, who was sitting by the window, slowly turned around. Her thin back looked very frail, and she was in very low spirits.

When she turned around, Yin Tao sucked in a breath of cold air. She finally understood why the nurse wanted Feng Jing and her to be mentally prepared before entering the ward.

Although Xue Na’s face was not as swollen as the photo in the medical record book, it was still terrifying. There were many long scars on her originally fair skin, and her facial features had been distorted and deformed to varying degrees. Her eyes were blocked by the scars on her eyelids, and she could only open them halfway. She was painful to look at.

Up close, her face looked even more sinister than in the photo.

“Xue Na, don’t be afraid. They just want to ask you a few questions. They don’t mean any harm.”

The nurse walked to Xue Na’s side and patiently comforted her. After seeing Xue Na nod, she felt comfortable to let Feng Jing and Yin Tao ask her questions.

“Hello, Xue Na. We’re here to ask you about Song Yi.” Yin Tao realized that Xue Na didn’t like to look at her. She didn’t know if it was because she was afraid or disgusted, but Xue Na leaned towards Feng Jing and the nurse, leaving only her back facing Yin Tao.

After Yin Tao finished speaking, Xue Na acted as if she hadn’t heard anything and didn’t respond at all.

Seeing this situation, Feng Jing tried to pose the same question to Xue Na.

“Song Yi is my… friend.”

Before Feng Jing could finish speaking, Xue Na slowly replied.

Yin Tao looked at the woman who had ignored her with a puzzled expression. Generally speaking, patients who had been stimulated were much less guarded against women than men.

However, Xue Na ignored her and only looked at Feng Jing and the nurse.

Feng Jing also noticed the problem and continued to ask, “Are you very good friends with her?”

Xue Na’s gaze suddenly began to shift, and the corners of her mouth unnaturally curled into a sinister and ugly smile. “Yes, good friends. We’ve always been good friends.”

Xue Na didn’t look crazy. Instead, she looked a little autistic. As long as she was calm, she could still answer some questions.

“Do you know where she is now?” Feng Jing looked into Xue Na’s eyes. Although her facial features were very distorted, as long as one observed carefully, they could still see her true emotional state.
