Chapter 618 Long Chen Is A Regressor

"You know and recognize me, don't you?" William asked with calm yet sly countenance.

Long Chen remained silent as he heard that question. He was about to speak, but William's ruby eyes remained locked on him, and he added, "I will know if you lie to me. And honestly, the consequences won't be pretty."

Those words caused Long Chen to gulp down a mouthful of saliva before he slowly nodded and spoke with a bit of terrified tone, "…Yes. If my guess is right, you are the Wild Dragon Spear Emperor. This is the only individual named William I know who has such a domineering presence with those striking blonde hair and red eyes."

"Your guess is correct," William confirmed with a smile on his face.

Long Chen couldn't help but speak with a terrified and respectful tone, "…It is my fortune to greet you, Sir William. Please tell me how I can be of assistance to you."

"I was passing by this area and sensed your spirit has traces of the rare Time Laws. Now, why don't you truthfully share why that is the case?" William got straight to the topic with a calm look on his face.

When Long Chen heard those words, his eyes widened in shock. But when he thought a bit deeply about this matter, he felt it was only natural for an expert like William to have sense this.

At that moment, Ren Yue, the inheritor of the Ren Family, emerged from her bedroom. She appeared to be dressed rather casually, but conservatively.

Ren Yue was a gorgeous woman who was 5 feet 7 inch tall and has a rather meek feel about her. She had hip-length blonde hair. She also had bright, large, light turquoise eyes, a lean face, smooth cheeks, and a straight nose. She had a large chest, a thin waist, and wide angular hips.

All in all, Ren Yue truly had an alluring and seductive figure.

When she came out, Long Chen's eyes suddenly turned towards Ren Yue. There was a worried and anxious look on his face.

William naturally noticed this.

"…W-Who is this man, Chen?" Ren Yue asked a bit confusedly. She had been expecting to see the two women who were known as the Twin Cold Saber to be present here, and not this unknown man.

Long Chen turned his eyes back at William and saw him nod slightly as if giving him permission to speak freely.

Long Chen then uttered in a terrified tone, "…He is Sir William, the Wild Dragon Spear Emperor."

"Who is that?" Ren Yue asked in a confused tone. She had never really heard of such an expert in the Zhongxing Kingdom.

Long Chen decided to explain a bit clearly, "Miss Ren, Sir William is one of the strongest Emperor Realm experts of the human race. His power is considered to be on par with the Enlightened Void Sword Emperor of the Great Qin Empire."

Ren Yue's eyes widened in disbelief. "An Emperor Realm expert? N-no way!" she exclaimed.

She was right to be shocked; an Emperor Realm expert was a rarity, and most kingdoms wouldn't have a single one directly associated with them.

The power of an Emperor Realm expert was so immense that they could potentially take over entire kingdoms like Zhongxing or Qishan if they wished to.

Ren Yue found it hard to fathom that a warrior of this caliber was sitting in her own home.

"Sir William, what can we do for you?" Ren Yue immediately bowed respectfully to William.

It was at this moment that Long Chen realized something. Even after he had recognized William's identity, he hadn't bowed to him.

However, fortunately for Long Chen, William wasn't someone who minded these formalities. He waved off his hands and spoke rather calmly, "Stand up and please return to your room. I wish to talk with this man about an important matter."

"…Yes, Sir," Ren Yue muttered as she worriedly gazed at Long Chen.

In response, Long Chen returned a reassuring smile as though he was trying to tell her that everything would be alright.

Once Ren Yue had returned to her room, William spoke, "Let's continue our conversation from before. I want to know why your spirit has traces of Time Laws."

Long Chen remained silent upon hearing those words. He was silent because he could sense that if he spoke a lie or half-truth, it wouldn't bode well for him or Ren Yue.

This meant that he had to speak the truth.

But Long Chen really didn't want to share his secret.

Noticing that Long Chen was really worried right now, William spoke softly, "…I have come to be your ally, not an enemy. I promise to support you as long as you tell me the truth. You have my word as the Wild Dragon Spear Emperor."

Long Chen's eyes flashed with disbelief, and then excitement as he heard and registered William's words in his mind.

"Sir William, you are really going to support me if I tell you the truth?" This question was rhetoric. It was just an instinctive question since Long Chen had trouble believing his ears that he had heard this.

However, when William nodded subtly with that reassuring smile, Long Chen felt compelled to believe him.

"…Sir William, can you please create a soundproof barrier around us?" Long Chen spoke seriously.

William nodded and raised his palm. Soon enough, a completely soundproof barrier around was conjured.

"Sir William…The truth is that my spirit has come from the future. Thirteen years of the future to be exact," Long Chen spoke seriously.

William's eyes widened in shock at this moment as he heard this bit of information. Even he hadn't expected such a twist.

"The future? How did you send your spirit to the past?" William asked, trying to maintain a calm tone. In the meantime, he was thinking to himself, 'Did he gain insights into the Laws of Time? No…Even an Emperor Realm expert who is skilled in utilizing Laws of Time can't possibly send someone to the past.'

Long Chen responded with a somber tone, "…It was with the assistance of a Supreme Artifact known as the Heavenly Discus."

"How did you come across it?" William frowned upon hearing that name. He had never heard of something like this despite travelling across many nations on Frascoia Continent.

"Heavenly Discus is one of the Supreme Artifacts of the Celestials. This Supreme Artifact used to be one of the artifacts that belonged to the previous Primordial God of the Celestials," Long Chen spoke somberly.

William asked, growing even more curious, "…How did a human like you come across this Supreme Artifact of the Celestials?"

"For that, I must tell you of what happens 13 Years in the future," Long Chen spoke. After taking a moment to recollect his thoughts, he began to speak, "…Nearly 12 Years in the future, a terrifying Devil God will be released in the Great Qin Empire. He is an ancient devil god that shook the era and the entire world millions of years ago."

"When this Devil God was released in the Great Qin Empire, all hell went loose on Frascoia Continent. The Frascoia Continent was connected to the Purgatory and demons endlessly poured on the continent. Even though the Celestials tried their best, they couldn't restrain the demons or that Devil God."

"It was at that moment that the Celestials unveiled some minor worlds all across the Frascoia Continent. These were the minor worlds that had been captured and maintained by the Celestials. Inside these minor worlds were great treasures, legacies, weapons, and resources. The Celestials had unveiled these minor worlds in hope that the human race would take advantage of the resources inside and quickly grow stronger to confront and weaken the Demon Race."

"However, what they didn't know was that among these minor worlds, there was one particular minor world where the legacy of their former Primordial God was hidden. It was the place where I discovered the Heavenly Discus," Long Chen finished speaking.
