The lifestyle of demons living in in purgatory is vastly different from that of humans. As creatures of darkness and chaos, demons do not adhere to the same social constructs and moral codes that humans do.

The demons of the Olmer Clan live in a realm of perpetual twilight, where the boundaries between reality and the surreal blur together. They do not have houses or buildings in the traditional sense, as they are able to manipulate the very fabric of the world around them to suit their needs. Some may reside in grand palaces of obsidian and bone, while others may dwell in shadowy caves or forests of thorns and brambles.

Demon society is highly hierarchical, with power and influence often determined by one's strength in combat and ability to control the elements.

Unlike humans, demons do not require sustenance in the traditional sense. Instead, they may feed on the energy of living beings or the essence of emotions such as fear and despair. This gives them a unique perspective on the world and allows them to experience sensations and emotions in a way that humans cannot.

The Olmer Clan does not have a fixed residence or a single location where they live. As demonic beings, they do not have a need for traditional homes or buildings, and instead rely on their mastery of the elements to create dwellings that are as unique and varied as they are.

The Olmer Clan's territory in the Purgatory is vast and varied, with different factions staking out their own territories and claiming them as their own. The landscape of their territory is shaped by their mastery of the elements, with black ice formations, violet flames, and other demonic energies serving as natural landmarks and barriers.

The members of the Olmer Clan are able to manipulate their environment to suit their needs, creating elaborate dwellings and fortifications out of the elements around them. These dwellings can range from towering citadels to subterranean lairs and can be as ornate or utilitarian as their creator's desire.

Overall, the Olmer Clan's residence is not a fixed location, but rather a sprawling network of territories and dwellings that are constantly changing and evolving as the members of the clan vie for power and control over each other.

Each of the four heirs of Olmer Clan is the leader of their respective faction, commanding loyalty and respect from their followers.

Zara, the ruler of the Bone Palace, leads a powerful faction that values strength and fearlessness above all else. Her followers are known for their brutal tactics and unwavering loyalty to their leader.

Rhea, the queen of Obsidian Palace, is a master magician with a keen intellect and a strategic mind. She may not have much physical strength, but her magical abilities are unparalleled. She can manipulate the elements with ease and can summon powerful familiars to aid her in battle. Her residence is a towering spire of obsidian that seems to shimmer and glimmer in the light of the purgatory sun. The spire is home to a vast library filled with arcane tomes and scrolls, where Rhea spends most of her time studying and expanding her knowledge of the magical arts.

Xander, the king of the Forest, leads his faction from the sprawling fortress located deep within the dense forests of the clan's territory. The fortress is hidden from view, with thick vines and foliage obscuring its entrance. The structure is made primarily of wood and stone, with sturdy ramparts and fortified walls.

Dante, the lord of the Dark Mountain, is the leader of the small but powerful assassin group that operates from the shadowy corners of the clan's territory. His headquarters is located on the dark mountain, a treacherous and unforgiving terrain that only the bravest demons dare to venture into.

Each of their residences is so heavily guarded that even Sargan will require great effort to sneak into them.

However, it was necessary for Sargan to meet Rhea if he wanted to join her faction. free(w)ebnovel

Thus, he did the next best thing.

The following day, Sargan journeyed to the palace made of bones and engaged in a fierce battle with numerous demons, emerging victorious.

Sargan utilized Black Lightning to quickly kill his opponents and left before the experts of the Bone Palace could lock him down.

However, Sargan didn't stop after hunting the demons of the Bone Palace, he immediately headed towards his next target. Xander's faction!

As Sargan reached the forest, he abilities his Abyss Evil Pupils to take a quick glance of the forest and deactivated his eyes.

His Advanced Aura Control ability along with enhanced Night Vision allowed him to perceive the aura in his surroundings.

"There they are…" Sargan whispered with a diabolic grin and vanished from his spot with a flash of black lightning.

He assassinated a bunch of demons of Xander's faction and thought, 'I won't make any name if I continue to act so secretly. I should make a little noise.'

However, Sargan had infiltrated a bit too inside the forest by this time. He quickly headed towards the western outskirts of the forest and launched a large attack.

"Shadowbolt Barrage!"

This is a powerful attack that unleashes a barrage of black lightning bolts that rain down on enemies, covering a wide area and capable of taking out an entire group.

Most of the demons caught in this attack were instantly slaughtered. And the ones that did survive were gravely injured.

Upon launching this attack, Sargan immediately fled for his life. And this time, he was heading towards Rhea's Obsidian Palace.

However, Sargan was utterly shocked as he felt the keen senses of a Demon King locking onto him.

'…No…I must not draw any suspicion. If the Demon King realizes that the perpetrator is me, it will instantly teleport to my position,' Sargan thought.

He instantly stopped and took position near a tree. He knew that even a Demon King couldn't remember the aura of every single demon within its territory.

'I should conceal my aura as best as I can using the Abyss Evil Pupils.'

Fortunately, Sargan's Advanced Aura Control allowed him to gain complete mastery over his Ardor. Even a Demon King could never assess his true rank if Sargan was intent on concealing it.

Sargan only displayed his cultivation as a High-Rank Demon which was equivalent to a 3 Star Warrior for humans. Demonstrating this strength shouldn't incur the Demon King's suspicions.

Very soon, the Demon King withdrew his senses. Once that occurred, Sargan let out a relieved sigh, but he still remained vigilant as he began walking while maintaining that cultivation base.

And very soon, Sargan sensed the Demon King spreading his Ardor again and trying to sense his cultivation base.

He sneered and thought in his mind, 'This Demon King is really clever. He quickly withdrew his senses to force a mistake out of the perpetrator. Fortunately, I was cautious enough or he would have caught me.'

Once Sargan realized that the Demon King couldn't ascertain his identity, he calmed down and headed towards Rhea's Obsidian Palace.

After travelling for nearly an hour, Sargan came across a cave. A trio of demons were residing in this cave and had seemingly decorated it with bones.

Pulling out a blade from his Mystical Spiritual Connection Ring, Sargan headed towards them with a murderous look.

These three demons are all of Elite-Demon Rank. Sargan wanted to kill them while they slept as he didn't want them to cause a loud commotion.

After killing these demons and looting their weapons, Sargan sat down and decided to get some rest.

In fact, he wasn't really resting but cultivating the Nether Devil God's Mantra. In Purgatory, Sargan's cultivation technique displayed its true speed as he rapidly absorbed the Yin Ardor from his surroundings.

After cultivating for quite some time, Sargan's Nether Devil God's Mantra advanced to the fifth level.

His soul was significantly empowered as he crossed this threshold. His control over the Demonic Ardor had also improved qualitatively. He had also received a huge boost to his regeneration speed.

Sargan's regeneration abilities had become so astounding that even his severed part of his body could be revitalized.

However, these were all just standard abilities. The true ability that Sargan gained by advancing to the fifth level of the Nether Devil God's Mantra is controlling souls.

Sargan could now remove a soul from an individual's body. He could gain information within this soul and also use it to attack his enemies.

The explosion of an Elite-Demon's soul would significantly injure even a Demon Lord.

A blue hue appeared over Sargan's palm as he walks over and touches a demon's corpse.

A spherical entity that emitted a soft, ethereal light in shades of pale blue. Its surface was smooth and seemed to ripple like water, but to the touch, it felt weightless and insubstantial.

Sargan realized a new ability of the Nether Devil God's Mantra. After activating his cultivation technique and holding onto the soul, he could absorb Spiritual Energy directly from the soul.

It would act as nourishment for Sargan's soul and make it much stronger. Even the Nether Devil God's Mantra advanced by a bit.

'So, this is the true method of cultivating this technique. I was right. I could never have mastered this cultivation technique through the normal means.'

There was a wide grin on his face as he thought, 'I need to devour souls to advance the Nether Devil God's Mantra.'

"…Well, well, you three can act as my nourishment then," Sargan raised his arm as two more pale blue spherical souls were pulled out of the demons' corpses.

Sargan widened his jaws to receive the three light blue souls, which entered his mouth and merged with his own soul, instantly filling him with a powerful surge of spiritual energy. He found a spot to sit down and began to meditate, focusing on absorbing and harnessing the newfound spiritual energy flowing through him.
