Chapter 48: The Executioner

'Man I forgot how mad you could get, that rage you have inside of you is truly amazing dumbass. All those veins popping out of that big head of yours can't be healthy. Hmmm you made your hands into fists and their shaking quite badly, you've reached your limit haven't you. Come on let me see your true colors one more time for old time sakes dumbass.'

This guy really did have me at my mental limit, he has been berating me nonstop now for 10 full minutes. Every comment he made had gotten to me, it seemed like he knew everything about me.

He probably did considering it's probably my own brain that's making him come back to life. I had an idea on what the cause might be which delt with me being happy I assumed.

It seemed like my own damn body didn't want me to have this feeling. As for the reason behind it I had no idea, I knew I wanted to be happy just like everyone else.

'Come on I know you can do it, here want me to act like that guy who'

Before he could even finish his sentence, I attempted to grab his throat but my hand went right through him.

My body was extremely tense, I was squeezing every muscle in my entire body. My energy levels were also raging like a wildfire responding to my current emotions.

I decided to give into my emotions and felt the ground around me start shaking uncontrollably.

I had tried telling myself not to give in, to move forward and not make the same mistakes as I did in the past.

'There it is, the real dumbass. The one who was given the legendary nickname of Executioner.'

My voice wasn't loud enough.

"Enough." I said as my vision had started to turn red.

....

POV: Alexander Rivington

'This conversation had led to minimal results, where did I go wrong? It's like everything I said went in one ear and out the other. I should just stop for today, rushing something this important isn't a good idea.'

"Well princess I believe I've taken enough of your time. I sincerely do appreciate you taking the time out of your day to have this conversation with me."

"Not a problem, I hope you have a nice day."

I got up and simply left the room, when Azrail had left it was like the conversation had taken a big downturn. I didn't know why that was, I could talk to him about it if I see him.

Once I left the building, I had noticed that people were looking at me from afar.

I simply looked at each one of them and gave a glare to signal that I wasn't to be pushed around. They were all Elves who had been watching me since the beginning.

However, they weren't strong enough to hide themselves from my eyes.

I continued my way to the front gate of this academy. I still haven't left this campus and was quite curious on what the capital looked like.

Once I arrived at the gate, I noticed it was shaking just a tiny bit.

Although it confused me, I didn't bother thinking about it since I knew I couldn't comprehend the Fallen Empires technology. They were just too advanced, I couldn't even understand how their elevators worked.

I felt a mana force enter my body and leave the very next second. This did freak me out a little, I've never felt anything like that happen to me before.

The gates had started to open, I simply started to walk again and realized something odd was happening. The colorful trees were all shaking violently as if they were being shoved back by something.

I released some of my mana to see what the cause could be, but I could only sense what was behind me and not in front of me.

I decided to keep walking forward to leave the bubble I was currently in. They campus had a massive barrier around it and since I was still inside of it, I couldn't sense anything outside.

I made it to the staircase and as soon as I took my first couple steps, I felt an enormous wave of mana slam into my body.

I stood my ground firmly and recognized who the mana belonged to immediately.

It was Azrail.

'The amount of mana he's releasing is purely absurd, I need to get to him now!'

I wasted no time and started to enhance my body with Ki then started sprinting down the stairs. The amount of push back I was getting was increasing with each step, the stone stairs even started to crack a little from the pressure.

I finally made it to where Azrail was standing and was shocked at what I had saw.

Electrical wires were dancing around his body violently, they were even changing colors from blue to white showing Azrail's control over them. The amount of Ki in his body was fully being utilized as well, not only that but his levels were increasing forcefully.

That should only be possible in times of crisis when the human body is forced to remove the safety limiter, but Azrail didn't look to be in any danger.

The wires around him kept multiplying and the mana he was putting off also kept increasing. Some trees couldn't withstand such pressure and were getting ripped off from the ground.

I knew I had to stop whatever he was doing before he went too far.

"AZRAIL STOP IT! AZRAIL LISTEN TO ME YOU HAVE TO STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING NOW!" I screamed at the top of my lungs hoping my words would reach him.

The sounds of high wind pressure and electricity were extremely high, my ear drums were already hurting quite badly from them even with the enhancement.

It did seem however that Azrail heard me as he slowly turned his head to look at me.

I saw his eyes lock on to mine, then I felt his bloodlust lock on to me as well. The way he looked at me I knew that he wanted to kill me, I could feel the hatred he was also giving off.

'This is bad.... he's not in the right state of mind. I have to subdue him quickly before this gets out of hand than it already is.'

Before I could even take my stance Azrail was already in front of me while throwing a right punch right towards my nose. I wasted no time and immediately jumped up a few stairs to widen the gap.

Luckily for me Azrail wasn't tall and didn't have a long reach, so I had a few advantages in hand to hand combat.

However, Azrail seemed to not care about such things as he was already in front of me again. I tried to move away from him, but felt his foot right behind mine which stopped me completely.

'Shit.'

Without wasting any time, he started to treat my stomach like a punching bag. When I had reflexively guarded my face, I left my stomach wide open. Since his body is not only increased by Ki but electricity as well his overall speed was quite high.

This allowed him to hit my stomach 10 times before I widened the gap again.

Every single one of them hurt like hell.
