Chapter 579 The Magic of the Underworld: Transforming an Entertainment District from Ordinary to Extraordinary

Using my magic, I made the entertainment district even more vivid and exciting. Streaks of color lit up the sky as I used Primal Magic to create explosions of fireworks that illuminated the area in a dazzling array of light. With a few sweeping motions of my hands through the air, I set off a chain of events throughout the district. Flames burst from the ground and spread along metal bars, creating a fiery obstacle course for brave participants. Dozens of small bombs went off, forming a shower of sparks that created a starry sky. Finally, I conjured a giant vortex of energy at the center of town, where Demons could engage in epic battles.

I had truly outdone myself this time. Using Primal Magic, I transformed the entertainment district into a vibrant and exciting place for Demons to enjoy. Flashes of color lit up the sky as I used my magic to create a spectacle in the form of dazzling fireworks. Streaks of flame burst from the ground, forming an obstacle course full of daring challenges. With each wave of my hands through the air, more explosions of light illuminated the darkness of the Underworld, creating an eerie yet beautiful atmosphere. Everywhere there was music and laughter, and merchants filled the streets selling weapons and armor, providing guests with the perfect supplies for their enjoyment. It was a paradise within the Underworld, ready to provide the Demons with the perfect form of entertainment they desired.

"Okay, what do you think of the place now?" I asked, but Martha frowned.

"It is much better, but I don't think you need all the fireworks. The place is just for the Bull Demons, after all, so I don't think you need to put this much effort in, but it is done. Not like they will be back for a while. They usually scatter, and it takes them a week to get back here. I used to make it a habit of coming here just to eat one or to keep them on their toes. You know there are much worse things than me, right?" She asked, and I shrugged.

"This is true, but I am sure you were coming to eat them out of the good of your heart," I said, and Martha shrugged back at me.

"They are reborn after, and they taste better than rocks. Most of them like the near-death excitement, so it is pretty much a win for everyone," Martha explained, but Lexi, who had been frowning the entire time, finally spoke up.

"Are these really the things that you like?!" Lexi asked as she pointed to a building with a sign that said, "Skin Flaying Facial, and Back Burning." Martha gave her a strange look.

"Of course it is! What else is there to do down here? You won't find many happy-go-lucky activities in the Underworld," She replied, but I couldn't help but feel a shiver run up my spine. Martha looked at me with a knowing smirk and then turned back to Lexi.

"But if you want something a little more... wholesome." She started as she gestured towards the center of the town, where I had created a fountain, some benches, and a few trees. "I can assure you that this place has plenty of those. So what kind of activities do you have in mind?"

Lexi thought for a moment before suggesting some ideas; community gardens, outdoor concerts, movie nights, scavenger hunts, and so on. Martha nodded slowly, seemingly impressed by Lexi's suggestions.

"These sound like fun activities," she said. "Although, I'm sure the Demons would still enjoy a bit of carnage while they're having fun." Martha waved her finger warningly at us before continuing. "But I'll be sure to make sure that the violence is kept to a minimal level." She smiled evilly, making my skin crawl.

"By minimum, you mean maximum, and don't ever ask a Demon to play a game with you. That is like sticking your hand in a pit of hungry vipers and asking them not to bite you. I am sure that Martha would have a great time strapping you to a table and peeling your scales one at a time," I said, and Lexi went pale, looking at Martha, who was now smiling.

"That is something you would like to do to me?!" Lexi asked Martha in shock, and the Wurm Demons' eyes lit up.

"Is that an option?! Do you want to try it? I bet you would scream really loud! Ooo, I am getting chills from the thought!" Martha exclaimed with more excitement than she had shown the entire time, making Lexi slither over behind me.

"So cute, right? Still want to drag this one along with us?" I asked, looking back at Lexi, but she had a complicated look on her face, and then she slithered back around me to face Martha, raising herself up.

"I don't like those things, but you do. I like fun things, but you don't, right?" Lexi asked, and Martha nodded but seemed to have no clue what was going on, and I was in the same boat, but Lexi continued. "So, I won't make you do fun things if you don't make me do painful things, okay? I am quite attached to my scale unless they are ready to come off," She said and then turned to me. "I think that you promised to help me with something, right? All of that fighting has seemed to have loosed it up, and I and starting to flake."

I looked and noticed that Lexi was starting to get some lighter dry spots on her tail.

"I believe that I promised, and I am not one to break a promise," I said and then looked at Martha. "I am sure you can find something to do, but I am going to spend some alone time with Lexi like I told her I would. Try not to eat anyone if they come back, and don't go wurm on this town, got it? I don't build things for people to break," I warned, and Martha rolled her eyes, grumbling under her breath about wishing her skin was flakey.
