Under the highest-ranking superior, Admiral Park Soo-Il’s leadership, the Corean navy rescued the crew of the sunken vessels. The report of them having just left the scene of the battle and the detailed survey of the damages came in.
The joint chief of staff already knew the damages would be severe, but when they heard the actual report, it surpassed their expectations.

Most of the deceased and missing were from the Taejo (DDG-995) and the Seoaeryu(DDG-993).
The destroyers Taejo (DDG-995), Seoaeryu (DDG-993), Kim Um-Sun (FF-851), Kyeongnam (FF-821) had sunken, while the Sungjong (DDG-997), Yang Man-Chun (DD-973), Gwang Gae-To (DD-971), Kim Jun (FF-831) were severely damaged and partially destroyed. The only mobile vessels were the Sungjong (DDG-997), and the Gwang Gae-To (DD-971). These two vessels along with four surviving escorting vessels made it out safely.
“90 dead, 84 injured, and 100 missing...,” Chairman Kang Ui-Sik read the contents of the report in a quiet tone.
The navy’s commander, Na Hyung-Hwan, spoke in a somber voice, “The missing 100 should be considered as deceased at this point, sir.”
Commander Na Hyung-hwan’s words were not incorrect. Most of the missing persons were likely to have not escaped their vessels and sunk with the ships.
“I suppose so,” Chairman Kang Ui-Sik answered feebly and stared at the main screen. Then, he spoke in a firm tone.
“Contact the air force’s strategic command and the aerospace command.”
“Yes, sir.”
A moment later, the commanders of the air force’s strategic command center and the aerospace center showed up on the communication screen. Chairman Kang Ui-Sik, who had been hesitant about attacking the American satellite, firmly gave the order to attack.
“Starting this instant, the air force is to attack America’s low altitude satellite, while the aerospace command is to attack their geostationary satellite using the Zeus 1.”
“Yes, sir. Commencing the attack now.”
After finishing the short video call, Chairman Kang Ui-Sik gave the order to contact the Chungmugong Lee Sun-Shin (CG-1101).
“Sir! This is Colonel Ahn Yoon-Joon.”
“Captain Ahn!”

“We have not found the exact location of the source yet, sir.”
“No need. Destroy Oki Island and the surrounding archipelago. I will take responsibility for damages to the civilian vessels.”
“Yes, sir.”
After the chairman finished the call with the Chungmugong Lee Sun-Shin (CG-1101), Lieutenant General Kim Yong-Hyun spoke to him in a concerned tone.
“Sir! Attacking the entire Oki Island area could lead to future problems...”
“I have already given the order. I will take full responsibility so I prefer if you didn’t speak about this matter further,” Chairman Kang Ui-Sik spoke in a determined tone and cut off Lieutenant General Kim Yong-Hyun.
“Understood, sir.”
“I would like to hold a meeting about America’s deployable forces, their capabilities, and what to do about them at the briefing room in 30 minutes. Contact all strategic commands in every branch of the military and get them on video call.”
“Yes, sir. I will relay the orders.”
Chairman Kang Ui-Sik finished speaking and bit down on his lower lip. His eyes were glowing with fire and determination.

The seas 195km east from Ulsan (Chungmugong Lee Sun-shin’s (CG-1101) location)
The Chungmugong (CG-1101) had arrived within 132km of Oki Island. From the K-VLS-II (Vertical Launching System), the ship-to-surface missiles, the Sky Dragon A missiles were flying towards the sky every second.

In an instant, the 42 cell K-VLS-II launched all of its Sky Dragon A missiles. Captain Ahn Youn-joon continued giving orders.
“Reload the Skydragon A cruise missiles. For Oki Island and its surrounding archipelagos, we continue the attack with the Scithe cannons in the meantime.”
The double-barrel Scithe cannons aboard the ship began to fire plasma cluster rounds instead of the plasma rounds.
Compared to the Zumwalt class destroyer’s railguns, the 100mm Scithe double barrel cannons were superior in range and speed. The cannons continued to move its double barrels. Using its momentum, it launched its projectiles to Oki Island and the three surrounding islands every second. The projectiles moving at Mach 11 reached the islands within 40 seconds, and plasma cluster rounds the size of 1.5m began to rain down from the sky.
The plasma cluster rounds exploded 10m above the surface. It sucked up the surrounding air and raised the temperature by 2000°C in an instant and swept the area. Whether the objects caught in the flames were man, building, military equipment, or something else, no trace of it could be found since they all melted. The entire area of the Oki Island and the three surrounding areas were turned into a flaming hell.
Also, 42 rounds of Sky Dragon A missiles began to head towards the islands while gliding across the ocean surface. The 4th escorting fleet’s Zumwalt destroyer fleet launched their anti-air missiles to intercept them. However, they were no match for the Sky Dragon A missiles that could reach the hypersonic speed of Mach 3.5.
When the Sky Dragon A cruise missiles that were far more powerful than the plasma cluster rounds reached the areas along Oki Island, a large explosion rang across the area. The Oki Island’s land forces took damages from either the cannon fire or the Sky Dragon A cruise missiles, since the Chungmugong Lee Sun-Shin’s (CG-1101) Hocula radar detected the 4th escorting fleet and part of the Zumwalt destroyer fleet after ten minutes.
Captain Ahn Youn-Joon, who had come down to the battle station personally, glanced at the operator’s radar and smiled coldly.
“We are detecting vessels on the radar, sir.”
“The attacks on Oki Island seems to be working, operations director!”
“It seems that way, captain!”
“Great! Let’s take them out completely. Prepare to launch the Mjolnir-PIP*.”
“Are you going to use the Mjolnir as well, captain? If we do, then our location could be detected by the enemy, sir!”
The operations director expressed his opinion with surprise, but Captain Ahn Youn-Joon did not answer him and gave his order once again.
“Fire two Mjolnir-PIP rounds, and one for each surrounding island.”
“Yes, sir.”
The operations director could no longer give his opinion and relayed the order to the arms man.
The Chungmugong Lee Sun-Shin’s (CG-1101) six round MLRS emerged from the portside deck.
*Mjolnir-PIP CLBM (Cruiser-Launched Ballistic Missile): a cruise ICBM missile with a range of 15,000km and speed of Mach 45.
The Mjolnir-PIP missile had a radius of 800mm and length of 6.2m. It emitted blue flames and shot into the sky. After it made evasive maneuvers to avoid damaging the launchpad, it used its explosive power from the thrusters and disappeared into the skyline. This launch was repeated four more times.
“All Mjolnir-PIP missiles have been successfully launched.”
With the arms man’s report, the radar operator reported in. “From the Shimane prefecture at Latitude 35°23’0.38″ Longitude 132°56’47.15″, surface-to-ship missiles have been launched, captain.”
“Surface-to-ship missiles?”
“It seems that our ICBM launches had caused our vessel to be detected for a brief moment. There are 12 rounds in total, sir,” the radar operator reported in again while giving an explanation.
“They are rich since they can launch 12 missiles for a single vessel. Anyway, from the Shimane prefecture, eh? That’s the prefecture that would call our Dok-do island, Dakeshima, and holds festivals, isn’t it? Very well. Launch a Mjolnir missile to them as well!”
“Yes, sir. Entering into the launching process now.”
From the six-round MLRS launch pad, a Mjolnir-PIP missile flew into the sky while emitting blue flames again. There were now only six rounds of the Mjolnir-PIP missiles left on the launchpad of the Chungmugong Lee Sun-Shin (CG-1101).
“Captain, we will not enter the interception process of the surface-to-ship missiles.”

“Launch a round of the Haegung missile for targets 1 through 12.”
“Allotting missiles for targets 1 through 12. We are launching them now.”
The interception operator manipulated the console while repeating the arms man’s orders.
From the 48 cell K-VLS-II launchpad, the Haegung missiles (GTAS-150 ship to air missiles) flew out repeatedly and headed towards the Shimane prefecture area.
“Twenty-eight seconds before intercepting target 1! Twenty-nine seconds for target 2!”
“Multiple ship-to-ship missiles have been detected from east of Oki island!”
“Can we detect the source of the missiles?” the operations director asked.
“Yes, we have detected three enemy vessels, sir.”
The operations director glanced at the captain. He seemed to be waiting for an order. However, Captain Ahn Yoon-Joon nodded as if to say “do as he sees fit.” The operations director started giving out orders based on his own judgment.
“Fire 3 rounds of Haesung A missiles towards each detected ship.”
“Launching 3 rounds of the Haesung A missiles.”

Japan’s Oki Island
From the cannon fire of the Scithe cannons, and the cruise missile attacks, Oki Island and the three surrounding islands resembled a living hell. The army forces operating the radar disruption equipment were also caught in the storm of flames from the plasma cluster rounds and they had melted into an unrecognizable state.
On the runway of the Oki airport, civilian planes were broken with only half of their frames remaining, while numerous civilians suffered from 4th-degree burns and laid on the ground.
The buildings in the downtown area had all collapsed, and the debris from the buildings and roads were strewn across the sidewalk. The roads were covered in holes, and cars on fire were all over them. Also, the smell of burning corpses filled the city. On top of this gruesome scenery, a Mjolnir-PIP ICBM fell at the speed of Mach 40.
Booom! Bang!
With an enormous flash of light, a large mushroom cloud appeared. A heatwave rippled across the area.
