Chapter 845 Four Pillars: Valyr Reborn

"Holy fuck…"

Watching Valyr fight against the feral humans from afar with his newly obtained powers, Hal and Vera were both left at a loss for words from what they were seeing.

Even though there were more feral humans surrounding him, the young man fought against them as if everything was choreographed from the start.

In fact, the number of feral humans that charged towards him was far greater than what even Hal and Vera had experienced thus far. Yet, the young man still acted with relative ease, casting a barrier to block their attacks before sending out an attack of his own that set the whole area ablaze.

Witnessing the azure flames gradually engulf Valyr's opposition, Hal sucked in a breath of cold air before glancing at the young woman beside him.

Of course, just like him, Vera was left at a loss for words.

In their minds, they could not understand how disappearing for half a day could allow someone to get that strong.

Though, as they thought about it, the two eventually looked at each other, asking themselves whether they had really seen the man go all out.

Talking about it between themselves as they spared glances at Valyr every once in a while, the two came to the conclusion that they haven't really seen much of the young man's prowess within the inheritance.

They could recall him fighting against their first aberration, showing to the group that his status as the leader was not without reason.

There was also the fight against that one quadrant leader, showing the level of ingenuity Valyr had as a blacksmith through the items he forged.

Recalling both of those instances, the two had no doubts in regards to the young man's capabilities.

They also held no doubt that the strength the young man commanded was undoubtedly awe-inspiring, instilling anyone with the courage to keep fighting, especially if he were to go all out.

After all, who wouldn't want a leader that was not only strong enough to protect them, but also ingenious enough to seemingly turn a situation around for the better?

But when compared to the extreme one-sided slaughter that was happening before them, the two could not help but begin to feel a hint of fear.

In their eyes, the strength Valyr showed had now gone past the level of awe-inspiring and into the level of terrifying.

Of course, they were sure that Valyr wouldn't use it on them. He had no reason to do so.

They were also sure that Valyr would only use that power for the sake of the greater good.

Yet the sheer tyranny and dominance Valyr was exhibiting so far subconsciously made them think otherwise, making them slightly fear for their lives.

Taking in a deep breath to compose himself, Hal eventually returned his sights to the battle as he spoke. "Out of all the peers I've met thus far… I can say without a doubt that Valyr stands above the rest in terms of strength."

"Add in the fact that he's a more than talented blacksmith… just thinking about it gives me chills."

"Considering how I've known Valyr at the beginning of his journey, I'm truly glad that he's arrived at this point," said Vera, mentioning offhandedly to Hal that she met the young man in a faraway village.

Not long after, a wry smile adorned her face. "I just hope he doesn't get too drunk on their power."

Talking about Valyr's dominance against the feral humans a bit more, the fears the two had towards the young man's strength eventually began to disappear.

In exchange, feelings of motivation and determination began to awaken deep within them, instilling them with the drive necessary to keep aiming towards a higher peak.

And with how the young man before them had gone an incredible change in just half a day, the two already knew what they needed to do if they wanted to achieve the same thing, recalling what the young man had told them before.

'The Hall of Legends and Myths…' thought the two before glancing at one another.

Then, with firm expressions, they returned their attentions back on the battlefield below, their minds already planning what they would do soon after.

"Well… that went better than I expected."

Staring at the numerous corpses strewn about the vicinity, Valyr had a satisfied expression on his face as he slowly made his way back where the two were watching.

At the same time, he thought about the skills he had unleashed during the fight, noting how they compared to their previous versions.

Naturally, it went without saying that the skills transformed by Azure Energy had more power behind them, allowing him to kill more feral humans in the same amount of time.

Then again, the changes brought about by Azure Energy prompted him to make use of the other skills he didn't use often, such as the previous [Arcane Shadow Bolt].

Now taking on the name [Four Paths Azure Bolt], Valyr found the skill to act as a good way to control the number of feral humans charging at him while dealing good damage at the same time.

He had also used [Azure Dragon's Claw] once during his skirmish against the feral humans, leaving him wide-eyed as he watched a bunch of feral humans being flung into the various buildings in the vicinity from the strike.

Then again, out of all the skills that took him aback, most of them were from the techniques from [Four Paths Azure Spear Arts].

Previously known as [Descent of the Dark Arcane Fang], [Talons of the Azure Phoenix] transformed from a single-target skill into a skill that affected a small area around it.

The moment the skill connected with the feral human he targeted, a ring of azure flames burst out of the feral human, sending those he deemed his enemies a few meters back.

On the other hand, [Strike of the Lightless Arcane], which was now known as [Azure Dragon's Tempest], sent out a gust of azure wind in a conical shape as the young man struck out.

In response, it was as if the feral humans parted way to make a path before the young man.

Yet, judging from the pained and ferocious expressions on their faces after the attack struck out, Valyr knew that the feral humans had not done so out of their own accord.

"I wonder what would happen if I were to use [Stampede of the Azure Tiger] on the feral humans?" asked the young man to himself, grinning as he did so.

"Well, I'll get to find that out for myself sooner or later."
