C272 – Taotie

“What?”

Seeing its two top generals defeated so effortlessly, the Necromancer’s already fierce expression grew even more ghastly.

“Not even a Peak Emperor could dispatch them so readily. Have you ascended to the Half-god Stage?”

Suddenly realizing this, the Necromancer exclaimed in astonishment.

Loong Chen mocked with a sneer.

“Knowing this, you might preserve some honor by taking your own life.”

Anger flashed across the Necromancer’s face, visibly enraged.

For a mighty being, death was the ultimate dignity, whereas suicide was seen as an act of cowardice.

Loong Chen suggesting suicide was both a provocation and a mockery.

Yet, the Necromancer knew that if this human had indeed reached the Half-god Stage, it stood no chance against him.

“Don’t be so full of yourself, human. Do you really think achieving the Half-god Stage makes you unbeatable? Once our leader steps in, your demise is certain!”

The Necromancer attempted to intimidate Loong Chen by invoking the Dark Parliament president’s name.

But this had no effect; Loong Chen’s target was precisely the Dark Parliament president.

“If you won’t end yourself, I shall do it for you.”

Loong Chen declared coldly as he brandished his trident.

Sensing the immense power within the trident, the Necromancer dared not attempt to block it.

It dashed forward, merging into the mass of zombies.

The Necromancer directed a horde of thousands of zombies towards Loong Chen.

A brilliant ocean-blue light flashed across the heavens, reducing any zombies it touched to dust.

With a sweeping gust, they vanished from existence.

Loong Chen’s silhouette flashed. Utilizing the Law of Space, he swiftly overtook the fleeing Necromancer.

When it comes to speed, Loong Chen has always been unrivaled.

“Perish!”

Gripping his trident, Loong Chen thrust it towards the Necromancer’s back as he fled.

A blue glow from the Endless Sea morphed into a halberd’s shadow, reaching the Necromancer in a blink.

“Help me!”

The Necromancer screamed.

Just as the shadow of the halberd was about to impale the Necromancer, a colossal beast emerged from the earth.

It devoured the halberd’s shadow in one gulp.

Following the ingestion of the halberd shadow, the giant beast belched loudly, resonating through the skies.

“Hahaha, it’s been ages since I’ve had such a feast.”

The beast chuckled heartily as Loong Chen narrowed his eyes, fixing his gaze on the massive creature.

He felt an immense power emanating from the beast. His divine psychokinesis scan revealed it as only a Peak Beast King, yet its capabilities seemed far superior to a human’s.

This gigantic beast must possess an extraordinary bloodline, possibly rivaling that of the Phoenix.

The strength of these ancient, mutated beasts is greatly influenced by the potency of their bloodlines.

“Taotie, be cautious. This human has likely ascended to the Half-god Stage.”

The Necromancer warned the massive beast, though Taotie paid no heed.

“What does it matter if he’s a Half God? Decades ago, I battled a human Half God. I’ve never shied away from a challenge. Even though I was defeated, he was unable to subdue me.”

“I’ve grown significantly stronger over the past decades. Even against a Half God, I’m confident in my ability to compete!”

Taotie declared with assurance.
